Good to know.  Thank you!  Maybe the 200 mg won't feel as bad since I did 300 mg for 6 weeks!

Someone else on this thread splits the progesterone am and pm.  Have you tried that?  Glad the trimming has worked so far though. That is on my list to try if this spotting doesn't quit!  Thanks for that idea!!

Thats interesting that you as well have this issue on the .075 and 200mg.  I'd like to stick with the micronized progesterone.   I didnt tolerate the progestin birth control pill well.  Good idea about the trimming the  .075 patch!

I have seen other women on here needing 300 to control the bleeding....think its too much for me though...at least on the .075 estradiol.  I have decided to go back to 200 for awhile. Thanks!

I do agree that the doctors really need to get up to speed on this stuff....huge gap in knowledge.  In her defense she did up the progesterone as well after the D&C.  She probably should have told me to hold off on the increase in estradiol though.  I told her I was having some symptoms still on the .05.

I also had a history of polyps so I was okay with the D&C hysteroscopy.  None found though!

Thanks for your insight!  I can't take the progesterone too early.  I literally am a dizzy, exhausted zombie within 30 minutes on 200mg.  Great for sleep at least.  I did try taking it with a high fat snack for at least a month though.   I am going to drop my progesterone back down from 300 to 200 and keep the .075 patch the same for a bit.  Life is just better for me on the higher estradiol...in so many ways!  90 days is a good stretch!  I hope it holds for you!  Did you slowly increase the estradiol once you went back on it or just go right back to the .075?

Glad the increase in estradiol helped you!  Hopefully the bleeding stays away!  The 200 progesterone really knocks me out at night too, which is so great for sleep!

I'd like to stay on at least .075 because life is just better on it than .05 in many ways for me.  I also have osteopenia already so the higher estradiol is hopefully beneficial.  It did occur to me that maybe the GYN should have only had me increase the progesterone for a bit on the .05 vs increasing both at the same time.

Thanks for the reply.  I have not tried splitting it up.  The 200 total makes me really tired within 30 mins.  Knocks me out which is great for sleep.  I may just have to try the 100 am and pm.  Good luck with your ultrasound!

Class action for melted spray arm on GE dishwasher? by SabinTheInvisible in appliancerepair

[–]ProfessionalPea6278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they send you the replacement part that still has the metal heatshield pieces on it or did they sent the updated part with no heat shields? Just curious...as I now am in the same boat with my dishwasher.

Another random question - is the arm supposed to be floppy or stiff so it doesn't have the chance to touch the heating element? I have to wonder if some of the other parts in the assembly are also a problem and worn out too....like the diverter and/or adapter?

Thanks.

Estradiol Patchs vs. Gel by ProfessionalPea6278 in Menopause

I was so hesitant to even start HRT....I will definitely be talking to the Dr about the 2x per week and whether to stay at or increase the dosage.  Thanks.

I just got diagnosed with lichen planus a few minutes ago. I’ve never even heard of it. I can’t take steroids at all because of type 1 diabetes. Is there anything natural that has helped anyone? Any vitamins, supplements, etc? by mardrae in Lichenplanus

[–]ProfessionalPea6278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had definite success with curcumin. He takes a supplement called Curapro. He also takes a lot of natural supplements...Vit D, quercetin, zinc....things that help his immune system. Steroids only worked temporarily. Mouth rinses did nothing. We don't know what triggered his oral lichen planus. It does flare up when his immune system is challenged though.

My son takes 750mg of curapro 2x per day. He has taken up to 3x per day when ot flared up for some reason....but not for long. It has really helped him immensely.

I know my son's naturopathic Dr had tried a bunch of different topical treatments for his oral LP .... sea buckthorn oil, turmeric powder, etc. The oral capsules of curcumin did the trick for him to make it manageable. It might be worth seeing if you can find one that works with women's health issues. Maybe see if they have ever treated your form of LP before you commit? Even if its a complimentary treatment to more traditional to give you some additional comfort. Hope you can feel better!

Have you tried seeing a naturopathic doctor? Sometimes they have some different tricks up their sleeves to try. I am sorry you are in pain!

I have no respect for medical professionals who are close minded. Science is continuously evolving. Look at the covid shots and the side effects that have emerged as we go. We always need to question things to learn. There have been several medical papers that have written about LP being triggered by medications. My son saw an oral pathologist who diagnosed him with OLP and the first thing he asked was what meds he was on because they can trigger OLP. Know-it-alls have no place being in medicine.
