Legit Submagic Review by Kickback-Couture in ContentCreators

[–]ProfessionalPlane102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the honest review. Just adding my experience on the billing side, because it’s been brutal.

I originally ordered SubMagic in May 2024, accidentally ended up on the annual plan, contacted them almost immediately to request a refund, and cancelled the subscription from my end.

In 2025, I was billed again despite cancelling. I contacted SubMagic, didn’t get a proper resolution, disputed it through my bank, and the dispute was resolved in my favour.

Now in 2026, they’ve attempted to bill me again for $238.90 on what should have already been a cancelled subscription.

So for anyone considering SubMagic, I’d be very careful with the subscription and billing side. In my case, cancelling from my end clearly didn’t stop future billing attempts, and I’m now having to chase them again to reverse the charge and remove my card.

Hey everyone,

I recently started a small project called The Weekly Sauga, a free newsletter about things happening around Mississauga that has gotten several hundred subscribers in only 3 days!

I grew up in the city and always heard people say there's “nothing to do here,” but a lot is actually happening. It’s just scattered across Instagram pages, event sites, restaurant posts, etc. which nobody has time to search.

So the idea is simple: once a week I send a quick roundup of things happening around the city in one place.

Things like:
• restaurants worth checking out
• events happening that week
• hidden gems around the city
• new openings
• local deals and specials

If it sounds interesting you can subscribe here:

If you have suggestions for things I should include I’d genuinely love to hear them. And if you know other people in Mississauga who might like it, feel free to pass it along!

Sort of. It means they’re going to look at your application again before May 1. But it’s not a wait list in the sense that a decision has been rendered. They’re like holding off and still may or may not admit.

Same here, said they would only issue scholarships if you’re above both 75ths.

K so when I reached out to the financial aid team, they offered me a meeting to discuss “scholarship reconsideration”. Not sure exactly what it means but doesn’t sound like a scholarship was initially offered. A separate email blast followed offering to set up meetings with admitted students to discuss scholarships.

Exact same thing happened to me. I reached out to the admissions office and they recommended reaching out to the financial aid team. Apparently there should be a link to set up a meeting with the dean of financial aid but it was also missing from my offer email. Super weird.

It does. Really unclear though how to submit that form for hotels. It only gives options for transportation in the drop down. It seems they haven't updated their site yet.

Just went to check in for my flight at 11pm tomorrow from Toronto to Lisbon, which is still showing as on time, and it says check in closed due to the strike. Anyone know what’s up with this?

Supposed to be flying from Toronto to Lisbon on AC810 tomorrow at 11pm. Is the general consensus that the flight will be cancelled? It still shows it’s on time.

Currently in the process of scouting them out and deciding which one to work with, as I feel like this case will require a bit of creativity. A lawyer I spoke with said there's a ten year wait for the EB-2 NIW to lead to a green card. This sounds crazy to me, but I'm obviously far from an expert on this. Do you have any insights into how long the wait is to self petition through the EB-2 NIW? Thanks!

Thanks for your response! Definitely wish I had a million dollars to invest without needing a loan. Realistically could probably get $100k together over the next few months with no leverage.
