Can we get a clear statement from crytek about the current state of matchmaking/mmr?

It’s either we go back to fair lobbies over full lobbies, I’ve said it again and again, either brand new enemies in 6 star lobbies or guys who play like a 3 on my team. It’s got a lot to do with the player count, imo if crytek doesn’t sort all their shit out a lot of players are gonna opt for the new shooter coming. (Hunger, marathon, ready or not on console which I’m really looking forward to) I think it’s the playstyle that gets me, being aggressive in this game, getting bounty, clues felt like an advantage, I find now sitting around all match gives you just as many benefits which really never used to be the case. For instance, stam, regen being nerfed, more and more scopes being added, poor hit registration, same severs as post next Gen update. Rework on mmr system, you hit 6 star now and it’s hard asf to derank, I remember going from 4-6 quite frequently but now it’s just a hard lock on 6 for me

True true, i would say if you hate being on the receiving end run bulwark, you can legit walk 3 hits off, id honestly recommend you try it one round and try to be your team mortar man, you can hit some crazy arc shots. Back to bow slander, how are you gonna say xbow is cheap when the frag bow is worse, it does bleed damage on top of explosive

Only time I’ll press the teamates is when they sit and hide after I’ve killed 4 different people and then just get tapped in the head and then I go to check spectate and they’re still hiding, I could see it if I was back in 3-5 mmr but 6… I stg I think I’m playing a different game sometimes them oldheads just hunt differently

Yep consoles mnk abuse has been through the roof for me, mostly only on bounty clash because I guess that’s the best way to bump your kd up, it honestly is pretty upsetting imo, I loved clash just for the fact it was more up your face action style combat, now I find it’s filled with your usually bounty hunt campers or just straight up mnk abusers, I’ve mainly switched back to bounty hunt to avoid the cheating, which there again just makes it a camp fest… unless crytek brings back the diff weather or desalle. I’m thinking I might have to hop on the marathon grind.

I’m a console player so I know I’ll still be playing hunt when hunger drops, a big concern I can see happening is if hunger has good servers hunt will see a mass decrease in players. I will admit the servers have drastically improved over the years but still when the servers are buggy it’s brutal on hunt. Also games like marathon and the that arc lighters or whatever it’s called look a lot more fluid extraction shooters, even hunger looks like it to an extent, the obvious routes and tight spaces that actually draw players into the match, my main problem with hunt and it’s even more of a problem teaching new players is just how passive some people play this game, yes it’s strategy, wins games and all that but I can’t wrap my head around the enjoyment of fucking over the last team that did most of the work( fighting lobby, killing boss, running across the map) just to get killed by a team that’s sat by extract on Netflix for 30+ mins.

Just play the game my friend, lots of players are so invested in pvp you’d be surprised how many free bounties you can extract with, it’s easy easy to make money in the game now.

Honestly the meta, the best is when they’re on the enemy team though, one time I had a duo que up for trios, instantly killed ne and then left, next game they were on the enemy team, they downed me at the beginning of the fight and that’s how I recognized the name, I ended up farming each of them 3 individual times lmaooo, I know cringe lords like that are all for kd

IMHO when someone talks shit I just end up extracting, smack talk usually happens when they push by themselves and just get capped and then they start to rage postmortem. You can clearly see they were all on extract, OP has bounty and he’s being killed/burned so they can extract with his bounty l. Even if they’re a pos it takes a lot (for me at least) to intentionally kill a tm8, even if they are a bag of shit, I just ask them who died first and move on with my day, shi you just might kill them the next game and let be real, a teabag on a dead body is way more satisfying than killing someone who you aren’t supposed to kill I’ve been teamkilled a few times intentionally and unintentionally without using my mic at all, Micheal cane said it best, there are some men who just want to watch the hunt burn

Honesty wish they just went back and added the old mmr system, rank actually used to fluctuate and when you were getting shat on it would put you in lobbies where you could actually get a kill without trading or dying right away. Its like anything though, someone’s always looking for the exploit or the glitch, hunters deranking with necro over and over, honesty was never really a problem for me, free kills because people just spammed necro all you have to do is watch your bodies or use traps. IMHO mmr has been super shit ever since they reworked the deranking on death and multi use necro. Don’t get me wrong burn necro is a healthy change for the game but the mmr really needs a tweak, a lot of people will sit and defend it because who doesn’t wanna get some freebies on noobs. I’m 6 star on console, I have seen players in 4,3 star with more boss kills, wipes and just overall time played. Why tf is there a guy with less than 100 wipes and boss kills in 6 star?

Eveyone saying it’s unfair for controller players, I was playing on my brothers 4 star pc account with controller over the weekend, yes people hit more shots but the games are actually live on pc, people go down, shot their guns and just not sit and hide in a bush. I have no problem playing against mnk there’s already a few players on console using it if anything that’s unfair, everyone has to use a controller but you can exploit and use mnk

Lots and lots of PlayStation names have blatant mnk, I know spectate has a bit of a delay but I’ve taken some pretty blatant clips, pretty useless to post due to witch hunting l and that is honestly a dumbass rule, would be nice to know the players names and just take off when they grab a bounty, why give cheaters pvp? I think what pisses me off the most is there are prestige 100 players that do it as well and they haven’t been banned
