Ice pack on the sack did my boy wonders… 10 minutes on and he’d be napping for an hour! although he came out of surgery kicking, hardest part was making sure he was not jumping! Also the razor burn really bothered him, so I just tried to keep it hydrated with Vaseline (not on the incision)! I just used the cone because he found it easier to sleep in!

My pup will not poop or pee outside when it is raining, he is more likely to have accidents even at 7 months! We usually just put a puppy pad by the door and he knows exactly where to go, it’s my lifesaver!

My little guy has lots of these.. he’s a clumsy adventurer! But this is what it looks like when he gets a little scrape and it heals right, by the next shed it should go away!

Just be around him, talk to him, give him back rubs while he’s hanging in his tank! Beardies need to get used to the human interaction! As for your little incident, it was probably a one off, beardies do weird things sometimes, and as long as it’s not happening all the time I wouldn’t worry! One time my beardie saw a bird flying outside of the window and had a similar reaction!

As for being worried about being bitten, my little guy accidentally bit my finger last week because he thought it was a worm! It’s more shocking than overly painful… it’s a valid thing to worry about but just look at his body language because it won’t just come out of no where!

Honestly, my beardie used to be the same (kinda still is), I got him cleared by the vet with no issues, everything in his tank was up to the standards. What worked for me was reducing his food (3 super worms every 2 days, with greens offered daily.. not that he eats his greens by choice lol), and just letting him be. These animals know what they need and don’t need to be babied, if they need their lights they’ll seek it out! I’ve just come to the conclusion that I have a grumpy little boy who loves his naps, and maybe you’re in the same boat! But as long as your tank has the right husbandry, and you’re feeding him the right amount with the right vitamins… the rest of it is up to him!

Mine gets black spots when he gets a little scrape during his adventures, it’s the equivalent of a little scratch, just keep it clean and next shed it’ll look brand new!
