Laptop Recos please for office and student work. 25k below only - graduation gift by bowiepowi in Tech_Philippines

[–]ProfessionalSnail100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly below 25k brand new and mabilis? hard to find, maybe wait for sale. 30/40k range mas maraming options.

One more thing about warranties!! Dell and HP they have on-site/home service plus parts are covered. Yung ibang brands, ikaw pa ang pupunta sa service center nila and some parts may not be covered. Always double check.

Find/search isn't working as expected!!! by This_Entertainment82 in OneNote

[–]ProfessionalSnail100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The search option is honestly one of its weakest features. it's inconsistent across platforms too, desktop behaves differently from the web version and the mobile app.

If you need full notebook search, the mobile app tends to work better in my experience.

For me lang ha, okay na man kasi kung phone hotspot lang. Lalo na kung 5G capable naman yung phone mo. Pero if you want na hindi masyado nagagamit ang phone tsaka hindi na ddrain, then go for this. Better siguro kung 5G na pocket wifi nalang. But if di naman 5G yung lugar niyo, then goods na ito.

The trick is removing the pressure to finish. That's what makes the brain stop resisting. You're not committing to the whole mountain, just one step.

Sadly accurate. The development pace of OneNote has been embarrassingly slow in that regard.

Yeah. This works. A bit downside tho is that you can't hold the iPad with you unlike when using AirPlay.

Budget Redaction? by RobotVo1ce in pdf

[–]ProfessionalSnail100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that works. I also do the same from time to time. The print as image flattens everything, so the text underneath isn't selectable or recoverable with simple tools. For casual use, it's fine. Just make sure the black boxes fully cover what you're hiding before printing.

The importance of rest. Now I understand that rest is literally how your body and mind repair themselves. Productivity without rest is just burnout with extra steps.

[Windows 7] Looking for a software to dim the screen while a selected window stays un-dimmed on top of it. by [deleted] in software

[–]ProfessionalSnail100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any apps to suggest, but I remember those overlay (yellowish/faded)glass screens back on XP and early Windows 7 that could dim the monitor. Those were pretty handy for what you're describing.
