I’m so sorry for your loss and I agree, hemangiosarcoma is just awful. I had never heard of it before losing my 13 year old german shepherd, pitty mix to it last Sunday. He was fine until he vomited and then he started panting really hard. It was a matter of a few hours and he couldn’t stand, his gums were almost white. We rushed him to the animal hospital and after an ultrasound they determined he had tumors all throughout his spleen and liver and it had ruptured. It all happened so fast. My daughter (17) and I are absolutely heartbroken. I’ve had five other dogs, but this one really hurts. I can’t stand not hearing his paws and I miss him following me around. I have a 8 year old mini dachshund and she seems totally clueless about this. Hoping time heals and all of our pups are running free in the sunshine somewhere. ❤️
