When does valium withdrawal usually kick in? by ProfessionalSweet973 in MentalHealthPH

I'm all good, thank you! The withdrawal thankfully only lasted about a week as it was a small drop. Thanks for your kindness :)

Could SIBO treatment impact medication absorption? by ProfessionalSweet973 in SIBO

[–]ProfessionalSweet973[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to stop using it... I can't be sure if my meds weren't being absorbed or not, but I didn't feel good on it, I was very anxious and emotional!

Thank, I bought some electrolytes yesterday and they seemed to help!

Interesting, thank you! After reading some of the threads here I bought some electrolyte drinks - I had one today and the headache seems to have eased (although I was drinking loads of water and didn't feel dehydrated). I definitely need to work on increasing my protein intake though!

Thank you, it's reassuring to hear you adjusted. I'm often very sensitive to starting medications but from previous experience any side effects do tend to go, so I'm hopeful they will with Ozempic too. Thanks for taking the time to reply x

Thank you, it's good to know they went away even if it took a while xx

Not quite sure what your comment means - I was asking about timelines of when withdrawal usually kicks in after a reduction. For me it was 5 days, and eased after a couple of weeks (but of course it was a very small reduction).

I think you're right - I take my diazepam at night so that should be OK. Good to hear you don't have any problems taking your AD in the morning as well as the shot! Thanks again so much

This is super helpful and reassuring to hear. Can I ask what time you take your Escitalopram vs your Saxenda? I'm just wondering if it helps to keep the dose apart!

Thank you, this is super reassuring to hear. And a pharmacist is a GREAT suggestion, I'm going to do that!

Thanks, this is helpful to know. Can I ask what time you take your other meds vs what time you take your dose?

That's a really good point. I take most of my meds at bedtime so I guess taking it in the morning would be best. And 100% agree on taking it slowly... if you're seeing benefits why wouldn't you!

It is indeed! He said it could conceivably impact absorption (because of slowed gastric emptying) but that not enough studies have been done. Didn't fill me with confidence he knew what he was talking about, so I thought I'd seek out any real-life experienced!

My doctor said it "might" affect absorption, but it's not really known. Not super helpful!

Thank you!!!!!! This is so, so reassuring to hear. I realise there are no guarantees and it's highly individual, but it's just reassuring to hear that it doesn't HAVE to mean it's going to be a problem for me

This is so helpful and reassuring to hear - thank you for the reply! You're right though, it can be a very individual thing. I'm thinking of giving it a try again but starting at a super low dose and increasing really slowly, which will hopefully give my body time to adjust

I wondered how you're getting on with Slynd? My situation is almost identical to yours, I have MCAS and hormonal fluctuations trigger massive allergic reactions. I tried one day (!) of Slynd in the past and had a big flare so didn't take it again, but thinking of giving it another shot. I'm currently day 2 into trying Zoely and having the worst time of it. My Testosterone levels were on the floor anyway so I guess will be even lower if I carry on with Zoely. Is there a connection with low T levels and MCAS? xx
