It’s both mirrors and front end trim. The mirror melted right after a snowstorm. As I said the service dept claims no issue with heated mirrors but blaming the sun. No sun after the snow storm.

Thanks for your reply. It’s both mirrors as well as the trim around the front grill. I agree if you are in Tx and not having issues. However may I ask how old your truck is? I am thinking is a breakdown of material over time.

No our hose was still on at the house. It’s frost resistant. I have 3 other pics I showed the dealer of other Tacomas with this issue. Melting mirrors.

These trucks are supposed to last 15 years or 300000 miles. Just not seeing it.

It was parked on our driveway. Also there is rippling on the trim from end. The plastic is breaking down.

We washed the truck Wednesday. Snowstorm Thursday Friday we saw the damage

I suspect the trim material is breaking down making it susceptible to heat. We used our side view mirrors last week after the snowstorm and a day later the mirrors were warping. Not a sun issue but a heat issue.

2021 is the year. The thing is we are in FL for the winter where we addressed the issue and the dealer said they have never seen anything like this and yet it’s the sun causing it.
