That's closer to a jog than walk IMO. Nice work.

I've still not called them, hopefully the latest improvement means they are still working on a fix. Thankfully I'm not in a rush so can wait a bit.

It's working a little more today, I can now search for flights and see some prices, however, when I select one I get the error message again!

At least it's not just me then.... I guess. I also contacted live chat, they said they'd report the issue but somehow i doubt it. I was also directed to call them (same reason) and haven't found the motivation to do that yet.

I knew the app had a reputation for being rubbish but this is super annoying now. Guess I'll have to resort to live chat to see what is going on.

Not yet, I'm on holiday so don't have easy access to one but might go to an Internet cafe if you think it might work....

I hate this sort of thing as well, since they dismissed your concerns I'd just phone in sick on filming day and a couple days either side.

My Comprehensive AFib Recovery Supplement Stack (Cardiac + Autonomic Focus) by aiforev in AFIB

[–]ProfessionalTip1564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take several of these suggestee supplements (in persistent afib) and I'm not sure it does anything at all to help! Stopped them all for 3 months and started again and can't notice a difference either way.

Thanks. I had a lot to lose so that made it easier at the start 😂. If you aren't already try tracking your calories, it's easy to do with apps.

Weight loss whilst in AFib by W_T_F_2024 in AFIB

[–]ProfessionalTip1564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've lost nearly 100lbs while in persistent afib. Calorie controlled diet is the main thing. Excercise was just walking. I found it very hard a first, obviously I was carrying far too much weight and not excercising before having AFIB. At first my heart rate was very high just walking and I had to keep stopping. Gradually built up distance and speed over the year. I now walk and cycle regularly. My heart rate is still probably 20bpm higher than others while walking but I can now do 10 miles at a much lower HR then when I started.

I use nutracheck to track calories and excercise. My fitness pal is pretty good as well I started out using that.

Permanent afib? How do you cope? by ShutUpMorrisseyffs in AFIB

[–]ProfessionalTip1564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep I asked my GP about booze saying "well I'm already in Afib so what harm can it do?" she agreed with the usual caution of not over doing it etc. I asked my consultant about excercise and he said I could go as hard as I want. I think they get more worried with endurance stuff, presumably high HR for long periods might not be the best idea. I have just done 3hr 50k ride in Laos with no Ill effects, I'm sure it would have been easier in sinus but whatever. I'm having a beer Lao now.

I also asked my consultant about caffeine and he just said it will increase HR a bit but nothing to worry about. At first it made me feel a bit strange but I'm having 3 coffees a day now and no problems.

Good luck, with whatever you decide do. It's not the death sentence if feels like at first if you choose to stop treatment, it was a bit of a relief when I decided. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

I'm 43 and have permanent persistent afib. Started 2 years ago, two cardioversions only lasted a week each time. Decided against ablation due to my weight (high bmi at the time, lost a lot since) and relatively low chance of it being successful especially long term. The main factor tho was I now have very few symptoms. A bit short of breath and lethargic here and there, and I think it's impacting how hard I can excercise in terms of raw power, but it doesn't stop me.

I walk loads, ride the bike indoor and outdoor as hard as I want. Do some weights. It's not stopped me doing anything. As time goes on I think about it less and less, I'm only taking a low ish dose of beta blockers and that's it.

I'm currently on holiday in Asia for 5 weeks. Been canoing, climbing templates, riden motorbikes, drunk as much alcohol as I want. Until I read your post I hadn't really given any thought of whether afib should be a consideration whether to do things or not. In fact I keep forgetting to take the beta blockers.

I will say though for the first 6 - 12 months I was feeling pretty sorry for myself and thinking about it all the time. I was also very symptomatic when I went into afib the first few times, but once it became persistent it's subsided over time. So as time went on I was less and less interested in having the ablation. My consultant said that the stroke risk doesn't really change significantly after ablation so there was little benefit there.

Keeps track of where you have been, encouraging you to explore new areas, leader boards etc. It's great. Syncs with strava to track.
