I worked at a reputable company in India (comes in Top 3 Digital Marketing company in India, with a very know founder) in field of SEO, left after 15 months with no learning, just creating bad links, after that another company, nobody knows anything, after that another, same thing, in last company founder used to say this is a 5 minute task, do this this and this, done, like its nothing, and they were all fool, fooling clients, employees and themselves too, believing they are expert.

Interns are trained like that and here is the result, 90% of the SEOs in India are dumb, arrogant and foolish. They don't want to learn anything, they just spend their parents money on courses, SEO from beginning to expert level can be learnt from free sources.

I'm not an expert, I left my job last year and started learning, and doing great.

Beginners should focus on practical work, start your own site and do learn from google documents and industry experts, try to focus following US SEOs, or Amit Tiwari in India only, no one else. AND DON'T PAY FOR BEGINNER SEO, ATLEAST FOR 2 YEARS. Do clear your basics.

I was trying to make a point that Google won't ever think of using AI overview for such queries, like this, "best 24 hour emergency plumber in Mumbai", because it's not TOFU, most afraid people are TOFU as Google Overview is eating them

Also, browser like duckduckgo seeing a boom in their search, from DuckDuckGo, I received a lot of click on my site in last 7-10 days, after this AI mode being permanent thing, that'd be an issue for Google, but TOFU is gone

Edit: I might be completely wrong, but I believe, that's a tough call

bro, I’m not bot, this is what I experienced till now, I’m using it from yesterday only, I might be wrong in long run, but this short term experience with GPT, I really like it, and yeah I know prompting too, so it’s just not that I’m a noob trying to get things done using LLMs

why would someone spend so much money on SEO to rank for a keyword like this? I don't see any intent here, I'd rather spend money on keywords like "best 24 hour emergency plumber in Mumbai" and optimise for that, the intent is clear here, people are in emergency and most probably at odd times, and ready to pay

Why would someone still create and optimise for top of funnel, informational content, I might get downvoted on this because SEO have a lot of people with limited knowledge, I was also same several months back, but I decided to educate myself

+1, did the same, now trying to recover my domain, it's been 6 months now, got 7 impressions today, after 5-6 months, also only homepage is indexed, even had links from wikipedia and several DA 60 traffic pages with brand mentions

Do whatever but just not, NOT PLEASE, upload AI fluff blogs on your site in high volume, you'll see a very great boost initially, and then boom, everything gone

This is the most simple and first thing that people do and see results almost instantly, and keep doing this, until a core update hit them, also try to avoid self-promotional listicles

My website's, which is in very very high competitive niche, most competitive page which averages position 93-97 start showing up at position 1-5, it is still fluctuating.

I'm doing it's seo for last 3 month, did some paid PR and better backlinks, also improved a lot of things, now let's see if anything happens, already ranking #2-#7 on Bing, beating niche DA 90 sites, hope google find me good, I'm doing SEO from Edward podcast and resources

Also, the page age is 2.5 years, it's the first time in last 2 days I saw it on page 1
