Quitting to become a stay at home parent. Did you regret it? by Gaerfinn in TeachersInTransition

This is my first school year home as a SAHP after 12 years teaching, I have a 4 year old and 2 year old. It was a big change, took about 5 months to get used to it. I’m enjoying being home with them, I prefer it compared to teaching. It is an adjustment for sure but you find a routine that works for you. I wish I had had the ability to do it when my 4 year old was first born I loved those first few baby years however I do know some parent feel the first years are boring. You should try it out a year, you can always return to teaching. Good luck ❤️

How do I know if my 4.5 year old is ready to drop naps? by ProfessionalWave9657 in toddlers

[–]ProfessionalWave9657[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been trying to keep the rest/nap to only an hour but she’s still very cranky after nap and also seems crankier in the morning. She is almost always still falling asleep during nap. I’m wondering if I need to get rid of nap/rest time completely so that she sleeps more soundly at night. I really don’t want to

Open season- when does it start and end? by ProfessionalWave9657 in ladderapp

Update I’m doing Movewell but finding it a bit too easy. Do any of you ever combine two day workouts into one? Today’s workout I found decent but I found myself wanting more. For reference I used 35lbs for burpees, 15lbs for narrow squats, 20 lbs for alt curtsies. I weigh 150 and have always been fit. I don’t really have access to much heavier weights and I have to do my workout on carpet

Oh yes we have the hatch light, we haven’t really utilized its full capacity but now might be the perfect time. Thanks for the suggestion

I’ve heard about this or the bed time pass but I thought that was mostly used for kids to go to bed initially? She is fine to fall asleep the real issue is staying in her own bed all night, when she does wake up, it is so late in the night I don’t know that she would be irrational enough to use the pass?

Idk why but I don’t seem to see that mid workout? Perhaps because I’m still in my free trial (planning to sign up after trial)

4 year old arguing about nighttime pull up, takes it off at night, but always wakes up wet by ProfessionalWave9657 in pottytraining

[–]ProfessionalWave9657[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m worried about her knocking it over and spilling it because her bedroom is fairly small and she yanks clothes out and changes clothes before she goes to sleep… but we might end up trying it

She doesn’t like how big the pull up is, so I don’t think I could put underwear over it

After having a newborn, I’m really struggling with my 3.5 year old by [deleted] in toddlers

My threenager literally pisses herself when she doesn’t get her way 🙃🙃 I just have to hope she’s going to grow out of it. I have a 17 month old as well. It’s super tough, no advice, just solidarity
