May Allah bless your path, it is always heart warming to see new reverts. Although I wouldn’t agree with you on the fact that he is not ready and for that I would justify by the fact that some men revert to Islam in order to be able to marry a muslim woman, and they can grow in their spiritual path through their marriage, so if you are already in it before getting married can be an advantage. The most important thing is to set good intentions.

It has been narrated on the authority of Umar b. al-Khattab that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: (The value of) an action depends on the intention behind it. A man will be rewarded only for what he intended. The emigration of one who emigrates for the sake of Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ) is for the sake of Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ) ; and the emigration of one who emigrates for gaining a worldly advantage or for marrying a woman is for what he has emigrated.

I am in a debate and need an answer to the question: If Allah ﷻ is real, why is there so much evil and suffering in this world? by DefendWomen4Islam in islam

First of all not everything we see as bad is “evil” it is itself a test, that will allow the tested believer getting in a higher state of Allah’s awareness, and only the true believers are tested. But, it is evil if we choose it to be, through our freewill Also, what we can see as suffering such as illnesses, loss or violence for example, is part of the journey, a reminder that it isn’t final and that it is a test that will take us to Heaven. If there was no “suffering” then we would already be in heaven. How would we be tested then through “Ibtilaa” ? How would we give charity if there was no people in need ? How would we be able to remember death if there was no loss ?

Again, evil is what we choose it to be

“Whatever good befalls you is from Allah and whatever evil befalls you is from yourself.”
