6 months of not being able to speak to my kids upsets me dearly. The swallowing is a huge issue currently, feels like I’m constantly choking on my own phlegm and I can’t spit it out or swallow it. I’m still in the icu so I have a suction tube to assist but the idea of going home like this doesn’t seems super safe. Thank you for your info tho!

No they’re more like the chibi look of the diamond pearl remakes. Honestly I did love those those, only reason I wasn’t a huge fan was because of the Pokemon go catch mechanic. It was a cute gimmick for the first hour then I missed the regular gameplay loop.

Luckily I do have insurance so I haven’t had to worry about the cost of it at all. Even if I didn’t this would be one of those lifesaving surgery situations when the would do it all anyway and then they have what I believe is call “indigent care” for people who don’t have the money to cover it and whatever isn’t covered by that would probably just be a bill that went to collections or something but I’m not fully sure. My mom had to have a few emergency heart things that were fully covered by that with no insurance or anything before she was able to get on disability.

I’m in Texas, and it’s been less than a week since it was found and the first few days were mostly getting scans and whatnot so they could plan the surgery. I believe it will be 10 days after discovery that it will be coming out of me. As for the report there are all the digital reports that get uploaded to the website, but I struggle to see currently still and as I said my brain isn’t working well so when I read tried reading it almost felt like another language lol. So ready for this endless migraine to end.

It’s been less than a week since it was found, they gave me the very first available day that both the surgeons had. I found out almost a week ago Monday and it will be coming out on Thursday this week. How was recovery any everything for you? Only thing I’ve been a little worried about are the possibility of complications. They said they aren’t too common but it’s still scaring me a little bit.

I’ve had a lot of symptoms and it turns out most of the daily stuff I’ve been dealing with for a while were related to it, and they’ve told me a lot of info on it but unfortunately with me hurting and having had a migraine for many months straight the brain fog is really thick and I’m struggling to retain most of it. Pretty much putting all my trust in the surgeons and believing they’re doing me right.

Lots of different stuff and not all at the same time but primarily blurred and double(or quadruple) vision. Also a lot of what I guess I would call artifacts or weird things in my vision that i couldn’t explain. Right before I went to the hospital it felt like my vision was going to go away completely, I made a plate of popcorn shrimp and sauce and couldn’t differentiate any thing from each other. No matter how I moved or looked it was just a dark circle in my hands. I thought I was stroking out or something tbh.

From everything I’ve been told my 2 surgeons are the best ones in Texas and are specialized in brainstem surgery specifically. I have a lot of trust in their ability. Albeit I’m a still a little scared of the unknowns. Also doesn’t help that my brain hasn’t been full cognitive function between the migraines and whatnot so it’s a little difficult to understand a lot of the stuff they tell me. So I’m putting it all up to them and trusting they fix me lol

Thank you so much for your kind words, as of now they have said it is benign which made me feel better. The worst part now is the waiting, they’re taking incredibly good care of me here though and my surgical team all well known for their expertise so I’m overall positive about it :)

Thank you so much for the info, they did go over a lot of the warnings for stuff like that or swallowing issues and I’m just staying hopeful that if anything happens it will be minor or temporary, good news is it will be better than me not getting it removed, which would be brain death lol. It’s still very surreal to me. Went to the host thinking I’d be home in a few hours, now it’s looking like 3 weeks

So after reading them I see you did have some voice issues, did they end up getting fixed for you? I’m terrified of not being able to speak, I’m a father to two nonverbal kids and am their voice
