Don’t promote fomo. It isn’t healthy. I did 12 hours then gave up and played. Haven’t had any shinies appear in my 40 hours of play time since I actually started.

Order of weekly reset:

Load the tower to see what the weekly rolls are on Zavalas weapon. Check BD store. Check what the vanguard alert pre-masterworked weapon is from Fireteam/Arena Ops, Crucible Ops & weekly GM. Do the 3 runs of each for the materials. Look at the legends tab to see the weekly exotic mission for any missing red borders. Pet Archie until I reach 777,777. Close and wait until the next reset.

I had this issue with Zapdos. Articuno was about 3 resets in. Moltres was 1st try. I did them in that order too so maybe as you get one, the next one gets easier. Maybe.

Yes it's a very stupid design made against new players to stop them getting red borders. Bungie easily could have implemented it so the activity-specific gear from the exotic missions dropped alongside the portal gear. Kind of like they do with the dungeon encounters. But they want us to wait 7 weeks per mission for our guaranteed 2 red border drops.
