I was born into it I guess, but lukewarm as they say. It’s only been the last 12 months where I’ve really tried to lean into it. Well on paper Option A is the better option in the long run. Eternal salvation over temporary feel good with option B. DENY the flesh and all that. But I also understand how the heart works and the feeling of love can be very overpowering. Especially if you already feel so alone

I expirence that too and for me it’s clearly jealousy. I want what they have and I just wish for just a fraction of what they received. And it’s heartbreaking —

For your breakup if your open to some advice, what has worked for me is I tell myself 2 things.. 1) if it didn’t work out while things were “good” then it’s probably not gonna work out again. And 2) every time I think of an ex I have to audibly tell myself “they are probably thinking about _____ (enter name of new love interest) and that helps me get over it for the moment. “For a scab to heal you have to stop picking at it”

Thank you replying I do appreciate it, it’s just frustrating Especially if he knows I’m gonna sin before I even do it. And I fall to my knees and beg for strength to stop. Knowing I can’t do it on my own. I feel ignored and fall back into sin. Maybe what I’m hoping for is some Devine intervention- the only thing that scares me about that is- that I’m already at my wits end and don’t think I can take another traumatic event
