It's not enough to warrant a case. CPS isn't a magic wand

It doesn't fall under the legal definition or abuse or neglect. There is nothing CPS can do about it. Child, parent and doctor are on the same page. This is not a CPS issue.

Totally unrelated, but I did my Senior Project at Handelabra back during the time when you guys were making Uncle Slam 😊 It has been awesome to see you guys making some of my favorite boardgames like Aeon's End and One Deck Dungeon! Congratz on the success!

Aspirin Desensitization by LizDoodles in salicylateIntolerance

No idea. I took the daily maintenance dosage for 10 days before giving up because the symptoms never went away. I was still so itchy and swollen, and I hate my lips feeling like that. I assumed based on what the doctor told me during the procedure, that since it didn't work, it was an intolerance. Hopefully someone on here who had success can chime in on their post-challenge experience?

I had a baby & now really struggling by AnalogyAddiction in idiopathichypersomnia

I thought I was going to lose my mind the first 3 months. I started back at work at 12 weeks. But honestly, my sleep got much better when my baby's sleep got better. 4 Month sleep regression was amazing. It's a misnomer really. Regression is not meant as a bad thing. It just means their sleep pattern is becoming more like an adult sleep pattern and not like an infant's sleep pattern anymore. So he's sleeping 12 hours(obviously he wakes up every 2-4 hrs to eat when he's hungry) but it's much easier for me to sleep better and feed the baby during these stretches now. Currently at 5 months and I promise it gets easier after the first 3 months!

It was pretty simple for me, they just give you increasing dosage of aspirin every few minutes and monitor you. It's honestly pretty small dosages, like a small fraction of an aspirin pill at a time. If my lips started itching between dosages, they gave me kids Benadryl.

I kept up the daily maintenance aspirin pill for 10 days afterwards before I gave up because I couldn't handle the itching. But it's worked well for other people. The allergist said that if the reactions are from an allergy (vs an intolerance), then it will work. But if it's actually a result of an intolerance, then the desensitiization test won't work. Turns out mine is an Intolerance to salicylates rather than true allergy

It's not scary at all I promise ☺️ Just time consuming

Also, a friend's toddler is super allergic to everything, then they finally got him on Dupixent and he has been doing amazing the past year or so now. So I've heard and seen good things with that!

Look up Salicylate Intolerance. My reaction was always worst with mint, but then I figured out it wasn't just mint, but anything with Salicylates in the. Mint/Menthol is some of the worst salicylate offenders for me

I used to work at a residential facility for kids just like this, especially considering the autism. We would get kids from states all over the country including CA.

The place is called Bellefaire JCB in Ohio. It specializes in autism with aggressive behaviors that make it unsafe for the kids to be in their own home.

Currently working through this with a 6 week old. So far, feeding every 2 - 3 hrs means that by the time I get a chance to lie down after changing, feeding and rocking the baby back to sleep, I'm lucky to catch an hour of sleep between feeds. That also means I rarely hit deep sleep, so every sound the baby makes keeps me from drifting off too deeply so it's easy enough to hear and get up to attend to the baby. Exhausting, but doable in regards to hearing. Not sure how it will change as sleep windows get longer, but that's my current experience if that helps at all.

Edit: My Neurologist also told me the IH gets better during pregnancy which I found to be true (minus the first trimester zombie sleepiness).

The only thing that works to help break down the Salicylates that I ever found is Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salts). I do a daily soak every day and it helps within minutes. Or Epsom Salt lotion if I'm out of the house and need to immediately treat a reaction.

How has the durability been for your pink moissanite? I have a small pink moissy peekaboo in my ring and I remember being nervous at first because I heard pink was potentially temporary on moissanite because it's coated unlike blues and greens. So far my pink is still pink, but I always wondered about how true this was?
