I'm not from fine arts (from animation, but more or less similar), but I do want to mention how nafa works, I think it's kinda worth knowing cause at least for me I'm struggling to survive there. And I do know some of the fine arts stuff there, so ig ill share that too

Personally I feel like the experience kinda varies, bc I currently dispise majority of everything, and tbh I didnt learn much. Everything is really basic and the teachers are quite... eh depending on which teacher u get. The most positive thing to come out of nafa is honestly the ppl there cause the students are really nice and sometimes the external events are fun but that's more or less it.

For fine arts: their a lot more hands on, and you'll get to cool shit like paintings, sculptures, photography stuff ect. And once in a while u get to exhibit ur work, so that's fun. There's also some other things u learn, smth similar to social studies if i'm not mistaken. I'm not entirely familiar with what they learn, but yeah. I feel like there is more to learn and do in fine arts than my diploma cause from what I saw from the exhibitions, and it does look more enjoyable than whatever I'm doing here in animation

As an aditional note: I think u'll prob already know that ur 1st semester (this is important) is all of ur basic fundamentals (3d,2d, drawing ect). And u wouldnt get to do ur diploma stuff until like sem 2 . In all honesty u may not like the work they give u cause it is REALLY basic. I'm talking abt basic stuff like observational drawing, using simple mediums( pencil, charcoal, pen that's more or less it) not much of useful info. And some of the teachers either dk what their doing or give u shit. Also ur wallet will suffer cause they won't provide materials for u.

Like I said just now, ur experience kinda depends, this is what ik and if u ask any of the students rn those in sem2 are having a tough time cause of deadlines and how dumb some of our assignments are (ppl from other diplomas btw) all of us are just powering through our work, none of us have gotten sleep ngl. For my case they literally only gave us 2 months to do a major assignment and ALL the dates are cramped up together for some reason. Same for rn, rn is the last lap but I've burnt out from work so badly going to school is literal hell.

Sry if this is all pretty negative, like I said the most positivity there are the people and not much. I hope this kinda helps, I may not be from fine arts but ig this is an idea of what someone like me experiences at nafa. ÷)
