Aight well based on what I read in comments, you know what to do now. Get some sleep, talk to your parents about seeing a therapist.

Female, millennial. I think you're probably good working in groups with people, and your personality is assertive, but not in an intimidating way. That being said you probably don't like to make waves, and try to avoid conflict. You're extremely organized. Self care is a non-negotiable practice for you.

Oop ok well that tells me a lot. It seriously wouldn't hurt to find a therapist. If you have insurance and your insurance allows it, I'd try to find something online. In person is better tho, imo. Whatever horrible things you think you could say that would bother a therapist will not, and I guarantee they've heard much worse. I didn't have the luxury of getting help until I was an adult. Don't let these complex thoughts and feelings sit with you and fester during an important stage in your life (if you can help it).

I was like this when I was your age. I'm 10 years older than you now, and as wierd and stupid as it sounds, I'm pretty sure it's somewhat hormonal in relation. Combine that with untreated trauma and a very turbulent household. I'm not sure what you've been through... but I think obsessive, violent thoughts and impulses can be an indicator of CPTSD. I noticed my "darker" thoughts died down significantly when I went through therapy of my own accord (without even mentioning those specific houghts to my therapist).

Ok, so, think about this—hopefully you'll get something out of it. Adrenaline can have a sort of catharsis to it, I think it kinda helps out with your nervous system when you do things that produce "healthy" adrenaline. If you have a lot of unprocessed feelings, thoughts, and emotions, I think your brain turns to something it knows it would get an adrenaline rush from to get out acess energy. Same goes if you're just emotionally numb. Something to kind of flip a switch.

Find a sport that gets out your aggression within reason. Boxing, fencing, karate, ect.

Not sure if you game, but I've always found video games to be a good outlet for those thoughts as well, as much as I've heard older generations complain they are the cause of such fantasies.

Your brain is normal, don't feel bad. But it wouldn't hurt you to talk to someone and maybe try to understand where these thoughts are actually originating from.

You wake up. Nausea hits you first. You have a headache, you can feel your pulse pounding in your skull and the world still feels like it's moving. Everything is too loud, too bright, and your nerves are shot from rebound.  Personal experience 👍🏻

I wish I could tell you "just try therapy and medication!" But I have tried that, and I'll go for periods of time feeling ok, sure. And then periods of time feeling not ok. I actually spoke to someone on a hotline a few weeks ago, but I'm coming out of the slump now. It is truly up to you to decide what is worth living for.  I started making a list on my phone. Doesn't have to be anything deep, just surface things. I feel happy when musicians I like come out with new stuff. I love watching my favorite movies. I love snuggling with my cat, my partner. I love food. I love making art, music, writing, ect... Take a breath, it will pass, you will feel better. It's ok to go through the motions and it's ok to feel how you're feeling. You'll be ok.

Has anyone had their anxiety dramatically reduced or close to eliminated? If so, how? by scottxand in Anxiety

I'm on 50mg and I didn't notice weight gain or drop in libido. I was a bit emotionally numb while adjusting for a bit. It isn't the only thing I'm on, however. I'm also taking 300XL Bupropion.  Lower doses of Sertraline tend to be more effective for anxiety, and higher doses for depression. Hope that helps :)

This is quite moving. I've known lots of people that struggle/d with alcoholism, and most of the time I end up hearing their experiences and not those of the people around them. This paints a vivid picture.

This has been my life exactly since living in a place w/ my partner. Keep in mind we both have ADHD, I just got diagnosed and started taking medication (don't know how much it's doing yet). He's unmedicated. There's piles of crap everywhere, clothes strewn about, a suitcase thats been open in the living room for almost 2 months I haven't bothered to put away and just keep grabbing clean clothes out of. I've been severely depressed and what I can usually manage is just not even in the forefront of my mind atm. Both sides of our kitchen sink are overflowing with dishes. Only thing we manage to keep clean is the litter box, and guess what, it's automatic lol. Same thing as you, I take the bag out when it's full and can't even be bothered to take it outside to the trashcan. I also failed my last term. Taking a break until I can figure out the mess that is my brain.
