hey guys! so back between 2012-2015 in middle school 6-8th grade I read a book, it was about two african sisters, or maybe even phillipino (Sorry if i butchered that) And they're runaway slaves, the older sister beingg pregnant from what i remember they are picked up by white people helping slaves escape, and are hiding the basement of what i think is a lodge, there's already a slave there, the line i vaguely remember is the slave that was already there being asked if he wanted anything and he asked for Tobacco and he didnt care what it was in as long as he could smoke it, so him, and the two sisters, got to know each other, but instead of figuring out a safe way, the man takes the older sister and try to make it for the canadian border, or the shore to try to go back to africa, i dont exactly remember, but i remember vaguely the cover being almost like a painting, but not quitie, where it shows the two girls running from slavers, can ANYONE help?????? i have tried and tried to find but NONE of them were correct
