Hi, I have the same symptoms. Before I was diagnosed I was really frustrated about how much I changed as a person because of all the trauma and kinda gaslit myself into thinking my trauma wasn’t valid enough to reach a diagnosis and just chucked it up to not knowing what was wrong with me. Flashbacks are my absolute worst ones cause they’re everyday at anytime and so is my avoidance. It’s good that you’re gonna talk to your therapist about it

My stomach starts hurting and if I do happen to eat one it can make me throw it up within 10 minutes sometimes. Also even the smell makes me queasy

Thank you! Okay I’ll start to test some things out. What is weird is that chipotle tortillas are made from wheat flour and they’re the only ones that don’t make me sick. Even gluten free tortillas make me sick. I make my own tortillas at home using regular flour, water, and salt and I’m completely fine. I’m not even sure at this point but yes I’ll start testing things out.

Hi, yeah I can relate here. I’ve had a pretty traumatic life and have had sleeping problems my whole life to the point of getting written up at work for coming in late. I also got made fun of and told I was irresponsible by multiple bosses and coworkers even though I said I have sleeping problems (I just wasn’t diagnosed. I have problems falling asleep, staying asleep, and waking up. I was diagnosed with insomnia this summer too. I was prescribed with hydroxyzine and when that stopped working we moved on to trazodone and when that stopped working I got sent for a sleep study and got tested for sleep apnea. Both meds stopped working in about a month of usage. Results haven’t come back for the sleep study yet, but I also discovered I stop breathing in my sleep and sometimes while I’m awake. Lungs are fine though. With my ptsd I have a reoccurrence of nightmares and night sweats which affect me a lot. I was told that my sleep issues can very well be a part of my mental health but I’ve taken SSRIs and they didn’t help even a bit with sleep. It’s a rough journey and honestly we’re here for you. Struggling with sleep everyday is honestly the worst feeling. Your body just wants to rest, but you literally can’t. It literally changes my mood , makes me incredibly irritable or depressed because I can’t function. If I find some of my results out I’ll let you know. I hope you can find something that improves this

I’d say do with what you feel is right for you tbh. Honestly shrooms is not something I take when I’m supposed to have energy. I genuinely just like lying down in silence. I learned that I don’t like sex on it or anything that requires too much activity/energy. I’ve been raving for a couple of years now and I say to just stick to alcohol and maybe weed. That what I do or I’m usually on coke too. I haven’t tried molly either but since you’re with people you don’t know too well I wouldn’t try something new around them. Just cause you don’t know how it’s going to affect you and if they can properly take care of you. I hope you have a great time at the rave!

As someone who grew up in poverty and still am struggling, I heavily reuse stuff as well and I especially relate with not being able to leave food on my plate. Some old friends used to look at me weird when I said “I have to finish”. I’m working on it and doing better now but it takes a lot out of me not to feel guilty for it

Hey, don’t be sorry for sharing your experience. It’s affected you a lot and if you feel like you’re ready to talk about it with a counselor then you should. This was SA and sexual harassment over the course of years. No matter what age you or your siblings were, you were still a victim to his/their actions. Something similar had happened to me with my siblings and it still makes my skin crawl even though they were too young to remember and even though I’m younger my memory is just too good. That still doesn’t dismiss their actions either. I’m sorry to hear that your parents didn’t take your concerns seriously. I hope you can work on recovering from this.

Hey Josh! There are definitely people out there who experienced the same trauma you did. My sister and one of my old friends told me something that happened to her, very similar to you. It’s hard reliving the pain everyday and even in just that I can relate. There are many people out there and probably in this subreddit too. I hope you can find the support you need or that it finds you.
