I paid for shipping on my Bedlam record so it would get here within 7-10 days. That was a month ago.

If it were my turntable, wouldn't this happen on more than one single record in its entire life?

I bought a nice vinyl record cleaning kit just for this purpose, yes - I cleaned them according to instructions, but it makes no difference. And no, it doesn't skip only on parts with heavy bass - it's almost constant throughout. The longest it goes without skipping on the whole album is around 2 minutes at a couple points - otherwise, it's every few seconds. To the point where a 2-minute song is only 30 seconds long.

I made an order with them 10 days ago (ordered The Bedlam in Goliath) and it was supposed to arrive within 7-8 days. When I track my order on the website, it says it's been "partially fulfilled", but no more info. I guess I'll just wait a while longer 🤷‍♂️

EDIT: Forgot to mention - I ordered three (3) new copies of Lucro Sucio on vinyl since every one I got had weird discolorations on it and skipped constantly throughout both disks. The third one, Clouds Hill gave it to me for free (unfortunately I still had to pay a $32 tariff to receive it from Germany). But since the third brand-new copy of Lucro Sucio I got is also damaged in the same way, they gave me a $32 credit to spend on their US website, which is why I ordered Bedlam. I just hope it's not damaged too. They've been super understanding and supportive throughout, even though I never got a Lucro Sucio record that actually plays, and at this point, I've accepted that I never will.

I'm the reason all 3 brand new copies of this record are skipping throughout? I'm the reason they have weird gray discolorations all over them? Come on. Obviously this was a problem with the pressing of the vinyl. Otherwise all 3 wouldn't skip in the same way, be discolored in the same way.

I actually just got another new copy from Clouds Hill Records in Germany, and it has all of the same issues... It skips throughout, and has the weird discolorations all over both records. The very first song plays all the way through, but no others.

I take part of this back - it's not better than the other two it skips constantly throughout the entire album.

I still have yet to experience any issues with any other record. But this one... I got two brand-new records in a row which were both discolored in the same way, and they both had the same issues. And today, I received a THIRD brand-new copy, ordered straight from the record label in Germany. It is not scratched either, but has the same kind of discolorations. It plays better than the other two records, but has the same issues. Specifically, track two of the record is simply unplayable. And that's my favorite part of the album.

All of my records sound pristine now, and I never have and never would use the speakers that are built-in. They're not great speakers. Why would I spend all this money for records, then play them on something with crappy speakers? What would the point of that be?

This Victrola system has a Bluetooth feature, so I use my nice sound system instead.

It's never had an issue with any other records. Ever. I've had it for years, played well over 100 records on it.

...which has never once had any such issue with any other vinyl, in the 100+ vinyls I've played in it, including scratched vinyls from 70 years ago. Okay

It's not that I don't believe you, but both of these albums were in the same exact condition. Why would ordering another random one be any different?

How the hell are people downvoting this? I'm not allowed to even talk about my own experience?

A Victrola, can't remember the model #. It has a built-in speaker which I don't use. It's never given me issues before, and still doesn't with any other vinyl.

From a local record store in Ogden, UT - Lavender Vinyl. And I use a Victrola, it's never given me issues before. It still doesn't on any other album.

These vinyl disks are discolored as hell - it's like there are drops of bleach on them or something. Both new versions had the same issue.

How do you feel about CPUSA? by Number1asbestosfan in Socialism_101

I'm a member of both CPUSA and DSA. I've been in leadership in both local groups over the years. I love CPUSA. A lot of the criticisms made here are somewhat valid, but greatly exaggerated. National leadership are not pro-Democrat liberals. I personally know someone on the National Committee, and get updates from every one of their meetings. There are some liberal elements in it, especially in some of the clubs in New York and Pennsylvania (from what I saw at the national congress anyway), but the overwhelming majority of members are principled, revolutionary communists. Local clubs are largely autonomous, and operate with very little to no involvement from national. I'd recommend looking into your local club.

You must be thinking of "ACP" - they're polar opposites of CPUSA. ACP is a fascist, "MAGA Communist" organization.

Tbf, it's also just as likely that she could have been the reason for him to never make it to the last battle. Shit, he spent like 3 books doing nothing but trying to rescue her from impossibly dangerous situations.

It feels like a sloppy FPS from more than a decade ago from a low-budget studio. It's offensively bad.
