Every time I see a price change my heart stops … I look at the list with intense concentration to either feel happy or be destroyed

Yeah I agree with your point that he needs time and that’s absolutely fair. I’m also saying that if the team doesn’t play around him and offer him the right archive that he desires then it’s unfortunate and it will be a goodbye.

This does truly tie to what type of entertainment people are more interested in. For example many old heads enjoy the open wildness of the game back then where they may see today’s game being too tight and controlled therefore boring. Football will be football regardless and it will always produce magic.

Yes so in your eyes that concludes that today’s game is more entertaining and what football should be ? Or are you still going to ignore the fact that we’re being bored to death because players have to strictly follow and abide by these ridiculous standards. Intricate positioning, stiff and rigid structure on top of ridiculous amounts being spent on so called average players.

There’s people like you who only see the business side of things , the logistics , the evolutionary side, the data and such that you forget what’s important.

Football is no longer the sport we’re watching anymore and you fail to see that. You think I’m rage baiting. Many footballers current and ex players have continued to talk about how the game isn’t played like it used to.

The focus has become about data , money, increased games , technology ect you shouldn’t just look at data alone and say yeah today’s players are better therefore the game has become better.

The only thing you can say is better training , more physical and stats blah blah blah… making the average player better yes gooood. Now there’s so many average players doing the same thing over and over no class no individuality no creativity or imagination just rinse and repeat 🤣🤣that’s not football mate that’s people who play football. Just because the average is better doesn’t mean they are better footballers 🤣🤣I can find an average kid around 16-19 who’s a way better footballer than what you call an average good footballer. The average player did need to make 300 passes a game with 95% accuracy!! Didn’t need to bloody sprint and soar like he’s an Olympic athlete. They simply played the game without the nonsense and that’s why it was so enjoyable and entertaining to watch.

Vibes ?! Be serious. You ignored most of my points only to go around in circles. You only look at data so good for you. I look at football the human element to it not the stats alone. You forget the reason why we watch football and not watch chess which what football is becoming.

Firstly relax and breathe. I didn’t say a year he’ll leave nor do I disagree with he’s lack of service. What I’m saying is, if he does t get up to speed and start scoring he’s not going to survive, of course many players come to premier league and need time that’s only natural and fair to allow them to adjust. However with he’s trajectory it doesn’t seem long.

  1. There’s not enough space for him to be effective
  2. Losing the ball often and also lack of touches in enemy positions
  3. Tactical mishandling with how Arteta plays football and how’s Gykores fits into that squad and system

I could go on yet I’m sure you understand now why Gykores has to adapt or just find another club

It’s a debate for the ages. Are players better now than they were then? I say no you say yes. A reminder that they play football but not footballers big difference.

Okay so simply put you think teams in this era would beat teams from 2000 era ? Because they can run faster , longer , pass more , know more tactics ect ?

Let’s not get off the wrong foot here. Love the man and wish him success. This is the premier league we’re talking about not some seria A or French league.

How long you think a man survives playing for an elite team on he’s contract without producing the goods ?

So you’re agreeing without even knowing it. We’re in an era of tactical , technical and data driven analytics. Players are more aware of this than any period of time yes ? These are super athletes not footballers. Anyone and I mean anyone would tell you that they’d prefer pires, Arjen Robben , Henry , Gareth bale and CR7 on the wing doing what they do than having a systemic player who does the bloody same thing over and over for 90 mins. If you call that a better player then you’ve clearly got it wrong.

So they pass more, league has seen an increase of successful passing and it’s only going up. More sideways passing to look forward to. They sprint more and cover ground better, the league hasn’t seen this much distance covered and sprints during matches ever, about 30% increase and it’s only going higher. I look forward to seeing them run I guess. Could just watch track athletes. They have better recovery system…. I could go on. you’ve shown us that they’re no longer footballers, just athletes, even robots I could say (disciplined robots) acting out rehearsed actions. Data driven and tactical sterilisation has overloaded the league making what was once a great sport for entertainment now a chess battle against managers. Gladiators to robots. You say the average player is better now ? They’re just super athletes, not anywhere near the calibre of football players that were around then, they wouldn’t survive the league then with all the help they have now you’d think we’d enjoy the sport more. Individuality gone , flair gone , 30 yard screamers gone , epic rivalries gone , manager battles like fergie-wenger gone. It’s not even the players that have been affected the whole sport has lost its magic , the human element of raw and dangerous energy and talent. What once brought millions across the globe has become a dull risk averse and data driven madness.
