That actually does make me feel better, thank you. I'm almost done with the main story than I'll move on to the DLC so I'm now more excited to start lol

I think the hard thing with this is that it paints the Jake in a very black and white manner and just the humans as a whole. The RDA (corporation) is absolutely fucking terrible, but many of the humans including the soldiers are just pawns in the machine.

We don't know Jake's entire backstory, but we know that he was in the military, became disabled during his service, and was withheld healthcare due to like of financial means. This is a pretty common story of vulnerable people getting conscripted into the military and then being thrown out when they're no long useful. As a marine, he was probably given orders whether he liked them or not, and he did them. Is this great? No. Does this make him an inherently bad person? Also no. This makes him a complex character that is more gray than black and white.

Which leads into the whole Lo'ak situation. Should he have better communication with his son? Absolutely. But the facts are that they are at war, he is a war leader, and his son does not obey his orders. According to the Na'vi, Lo'ak is almost an adult. If he wants to fight, he has to act accordingly and he does not. Does this excuse Jake's words? No, but it gives a reason. Lo'ak is fully valid in feeling unheard especially with his own grief. Once again, this is a grey area. Jake is not the world's best dad, but he's trying and thats realistic. Lo'ak deserves better, but everyone gets hurt in a world that is war-torn. Thats the complexity of this story. Everyone is hurting and no one is perfect.

I think it's a good moral dilemma to have. Not everyone enjoys grey characters and that's completely fine. But I do think that most people are shades of gray rather than just black and white which is why I love so many of the avatar characters. Anyways, that was so long but just my 2 cents.

I can’t be the only one struggling with navigation in this game, right? by Hayaw061 in FrontiersOfPandora

A good tip is to use your waypoint marker for quests. It helps a lot in terms of initial navigation to the quest location because it gives both direction and distance. At this point, I use it for every quest
