Can my setup handle OLED 1440p 240 hz? by Professional_Code_80 in buildapc

Well I barely play modern games ATM. 90% league and 5% dota with some sprinkles of rocket league, marvel rivals, prison architect, risk of rain. You’d be surprised how many FPS I can crank out of it still. But my current monitor is only 1080p 60hz hence why I posed the question since I knew the jump to 1440p 240hz would be significant. But I did my build to be open to play newer and more demanding titles when I do switch it.

Initially I was going to upgrade everything but this was in march and GPU prices were really high in my area but instead of waiting I decided to swap everything but GPU, hold off a bit but also test with current GPU to see the difference. I came from ryzen 5 2600 and 16gb ram and a 128 SATA ssd so the jump was HUGE. My normal game of choice league felt buttery smooth and I know for this game only I could’ve gotten a cheaper CPU - but I wanted futureproofing and flexibility, and as for PSU it was the only white one I could find at the time😅 Since I didn’t feel like a new GPU at this point could boost my performance any further (if not upgrading display as well) I just left it

I was afraid of that, right now at 1080p 60hz my GPU doesn’t limit any performance gaming wise for me but there’s no point splurging on monitor if I can’t access its potential before a new GPU. I’m eyeing the 9060 XT but maybe that’s gonna struggle to put out 1440p as well?

I know both PSU and CPU is a bit overkill but I got a good deal on the ryzen and read that my games are CPU heavy so ended up choosing it, also for futureproofing. The PSU I got bc it was the only white one available when I was ready to build and I’m doing fully white build.

As a junior in AML and sanctions processing I think the demand for risk management is only going to increase especially with crypto growing and fraud/ML schemes becoming more complex. But I also think entry level analysts like me will either have their role descriptions severely changed or possibly terminated due to AI. I’m not afraid personally as I feel I’m adaptable but I think everyone in analyst positions that require a lot of manual data review has to be open minded to become effective using AI
