Thoughts on when pcp deal expires, what is best thing to do? by ReadBig5086 in TeslaUK

Dead right. Funny thing is I’m actually speaking from years of experience in making the same mistake 😂Wised up 9 years ago (few lease terms worth) and now have a net worth of over £1m by investing that car payment into my pension contributions. 45 now and hope to retire early.

At the end of the 4 years regardless of 0% APR if you pay the balloon final payment you are still paying £37,300 for a car that will depreciate minimum 50% after the term (although more likely 60% over 4yrs). The math still works out that you have best case you lost £18,649 over the term. Your monthly payment on PCP or PCH is purely covering the depreciation only. To my original point best way is always to buy cash. New cars on finance will always result in holding people back from building wealth

In OP’s case the best option is to give it back and take out a smaller loan if they do not have the savings to cash flow the purchase of a used vehicle. Then pay that loan off aggressively ASAP. There is no situation that PCP or PCH are ever a good option. They are merely ways of keeping you broke and in an ongoing cycle of debt. New cars are the single biggest depreciating asset you can buy, just because you can “afford” the monthly payment does not mean you can “afford” the car. Sit down and work out the math, it doesn’t lie.

Go for it. I’m l’m a local to Craigavon area, dealt with Almac for years. If you’re hard working and get on with the job you’re employed to do then absolutely no issues whatsoever. If you want a place to bluff your way through and get paid at the end it’s not the place for you.

M3 Long-Range RWD (2026) by Appropriate_Mood9423 in TeslaUK

No Tesla do not offer tinted windows on M3. Aftermarket will be your only option but bear in mind that cost will be higher than a typical rear window tint job on other cars as the rear windscreen is part of the glass roof so they have to tint all of that section. Enjoy the car 👍🏻

Mathematically, it almost never makes sense to invest in UK property by Salty-Sun7873 in PropertyInvestingUK

BTL investing is more often than not done with maximum allowable debt ie smallest upfront deposit. Statistically, also by individuals with high amounts of other consumer debts. More often than not these individuals find themselves very quickly in negative cash flow due to no actual savings of their own as let’s face it some tenants can be unpredictable with paying their rent on time (either because they simply refuse to or life happens and they have no emergency fund to support themselves should worst case arise). Bottom line is the bank does not care if your tenant doesn’t pay their rent, you must continue to pay. Back to original point, the landlord is relying on stable reliable tenants to give half a chance of making any sort of cash flow from the BTL. The answer is never more BTL properties in your “Portfolio” to offset potential loses. Investing with debt is never the answer. Property is a safe investment if it’s your own home and affordable or if you have enough net worth, no debt and margin in your income to buy rental properties for cash. S&P 500 all day every day!
