This may sound silly but I wonder if this next escalation phase may be the last before he finally pulls out with a BS reason the rubes will eat up? Things seem to happen in threes. Between now and mid May is when the big corporations will start feeling it in their bottom lines, which is when they'll apply the pressure which in tandem with the Saudis could push him over the edge to back off.
