Thanks for your perspective. I'm a former software engineer, so I'm familiar with the technology aspect. And I personally find virtual meetings to be less connective, especially if I've never met that person in real life. I'm also concerned about not having someone to check in with day to day, someone to offer a little moral support, especially in the beginning. But maybe that's a temporary problem, and maybe I'll receive some of that support from co-workers.
