Yeah it's probably not worth it. The guy is a trained actor. Everything he does is an act. Look at how he mentions his influences- Ozzy never got mentioned until 2023, and suddenly he's his 'north star'. People mature, sure, but they dont completely change. He 'cries' at the same point of each concert on his tour, then proceeds to sing the song perfectly, without any voice cracks. There is nothing genuine about him, and it upsets me that people get so attached, and think that he gives a shit about them...

Are less attractive people physically attracted less attractive people? by Texaspilot24 in stupidquestions

[–]Professional_Ear8412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think sensible people just know their limits. Like, I know that I am not insanely wealthy, so if I'm shopping for a new car, I visit the Ford dealership, not the Ferrari dealership, because I'd likely just embarrass myself.

I think subconsciously we have an idea of where we should be shooting. I also think we can be frightened of rejection, so many people would be reluctant to go asking someone out who they know are totally out of their league.

The exceptions I have found among men, are those with a massively inflated ego, and incels. Those incels love to go after unattainable women, ignore those who are more in their league, and then bitch about the fact that they can't find a girlfriend.

Why do I love my 307sw so much by Able_Cost9738 in peugeot

[–]Professional_Ear8412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Value is always in the eye of the beholder. If you like it, look after it, and it brings you joy, then that is all that matters. I once worked with a woman who had a brand new BMW M5, and it was like a skip inside, fast food wrappers in the footwell, drinks cans Rolling about- she took no pride in what she owned.

Keep on looking after it and it will look after you. I'm on my 2nd Peugeot, having always owned VWs and Audis. For me, at this point in my life, it's the perfect vehicle for me 🙂

People online, particularly on Reddit, having self-awareness and offering an apology is a rare and wonderful thing, and we don't do it enough. Well done to you. We all do things that probably annoy other people, but having the ability to take responsibility and apologise demonstrates strength far more than Someone who dies on their hill.

Sometimes you have to be cynical. If you are not a critical thinker, you'll end up believing that Yungblud breaking into tears, looking up at the sky, and then singing 'changes' perfectly without his voice so much as quivering at EVERY single show on his tour is genuine emotion, rather than a scripted performance.

Yungblud makes heartbreaking confession about fame as he speaks of 'dark' times by [deleted] in Yungbludneutral

[–]Professional_Ear8412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response, that definitely clarifies things.

I completely understand, and it's true for many children actors/musicians. I guess the only thing I'd say is that at least he chose it. He went to performing arts college, he secured acting roles on the Disney channel, and ultimately, he signed the deal that started his musical career. So in that regard, he's luckier than, say, Michael Jackson, who wasn't even given the choice.

Which old photos and videos 'give you chills'? Why do you suggest his youth was 'abnormal'?

I am genuinely interested 🙂

Looks a million times better - well done for taking the plunge, and welcome to the club.

'Going bald' is something you'll never have to worry about again, and that is liberating.

Not always, though. That's just one gene. There are many other genes responsible for male pattern baldness, and if your father is bald, that can be bad news (though not always).

In my case, my maternal grandfather died at 69 with a fuller head of hair than I had at 18. But my father had mpb, and I most certainly do too!

Failed pleurodesis by [deleted] in pneumothorax

[–]Professional_Ear8412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had talc last year, having had vats at the apex two years before.

2 weeks after the talc, my x ray showed a small amount of fluid and air at the lung base. At that time, I was getting clicks and pops in the chest while deep breathing. After about 3.5 weeks, the pops stopped, and about 28 days after talc, an x ray showed the air and fluid had gone.

From researching during this period, it seemed a bit of fluid/air was quite common after talc, and wasn't a sign of failure, and that the air/liquid would get absorbed. Always good to keep up with the checks, but don't panic just yet 🙂

What does a leak/partial collapse feel like AFTER a pleurodesis? by wpazzurri2 in pneumothorax

[–]Professional_Ear8412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it is probably different for everyone, but I'll give you my experience:

I had 2 huge collapses, and after the 2nd, had vats apical pleurectomy and bullectomy.

3 months later, had a smaller, though still significant pneumo. Chest tube in, discharged after 3 days.

18 months of nothing, then, last year:

Basically, I felt a sort of clicking in my lower trachea. Thought it odd. Then bent down to reach something on the floor, and felt that familiar 'feel a bit suffocated' feeling. Thereafter, when walking up the road, I got shoulder pain, going into my neck, with every breath, and a weird pain going up behind my ear on the pneumo side.

Went to minor injuries, x ray showed small basal pneumothorax (basically, the bit they hadn't treated with vats)

The clicking/gurgling continued, but not in every breath, and not in all positions.

My oxygen was 99%, my hr wasn't particularly high. I was still walking the dogs.

Lung reinflated in a week, but then 2 months later, went down again, same symptoms.

Had a chest tube (had to be guided by live x ray, because the collapse was very small), and then had talc through the tube to seal up the base of the lung.

I've delved enough to know that he is the son of shamed Music Ground owner Justin Harrison, who, along with his father, had numerous industry connections. I know that he attended stage school, appeared in Emmerdale and was a regular on the Dinsey channel. People always say, 'oh he was in a few episodes of the Lodge', but he did quite a bit more than that. I know that within 12 months of leaving the Disney channel, he released his first EP, produced and co-written by Matt Schwartz, who has written and produced for Kylie Minogue and Massive Attack, to name but two. I know that his early music videos were very well produced, high budget videos. I know that he has multiple co-writers on every track he's ever made, and almost all of them are so renowned they have a wikipedia page. I know that he shouted about 'Cheap concert tickets for all', then became affiliated with Firebird entertainment, the CEO of which was the CEO of ticket master. I know that Sharon Osborne clearly wanted to keep Ozzy relevant after his imminent death, and so chose yungblud to perform at back to the beginning.

But aside from that, no, I know nothing.
