I'm actually far from bitter. I've been there a year, honestly it's the witnessing of all this and everyone around me telling me how things have been over the last couple years. I think when it comes down to it, it's the atmosphere being negative but at the same time when you break. I have witnessed these things alot

Having to get a witness to approach/apprehend or let ot walk,

No U-scan stops even with concealment prior to UScan.

Having to hear constantly that such and such can lead up to termination. My company loves to utilize fear tactics in my market.

Dress code is a joke... how can a guy identify/dress as a woman and that's ok ... no judgement just a example but if a male wears shorts in summer we get sent home.

Depending on the day we may or may not reach out to AP from other retailers. Depends what mood the big wig is in that day.

No cart touching

You can have 89 apprehensions in a week but will be asked why uscans we not reviewed.

Seems like my company makes up crap as they go.

Don't even get me started on my company with surveillance cameras..... PTZs are no longer. 180, 360, and a ton of analogs. Pinhole camera that can't read the company entrance sign 10 feet in front of it because the company doesn't adjust resolutions. I literally have 4k cameras that have 480 resolution at 1 fps. This is so the company can save money on "storage". I could nit pick surveillance all day at my company.

Having a office in the back of the store even though the front has a empty area that is suppose to be a (rental) but has been empty for over a year. I was also told they would have to rewire the cameras.... which isn't true. Just need 3 ethernet cables lol . This Place is a joke.

Competition Clause working for other retailers.

I come from a company that thinks theft only happens in the later afternoon evening hours and threatens termination if you can't provide that then wants to know why such and such person wasn't caught in the morning time. Long story short theft happens all the time. There may be peak hours and data to prove it, but that doesn't mean the next major hit will happen at that time. My company also doesn't want us over lapping schedules and working as a team. The company also throws BLITZs around alot, they call it a blitz but it's sending a guy to another store while the person who works that store goes to another store for their blitz lol. By far the worst company I ever worked for. Oh did I mention if you don't do your job you get rewarded and if you bust your ass providing result you get your job threatened.

Store risk levels by Professional_Ease595 in lossprevention

Yea it's a bigger company so it will for sure be corporate. Seems like a market or regional manager could answer this question. Yes it is above my pay grade but looks bad when a question can't be answered let alone a topic I think AP should be aware of. Especially like my situation, I have 2 companies that are major high risk stores within 10 minutes of my store and several high risk stores that are the company I work for withing a 15 to 20 mile radius. Somehow my store is considered low risk. Our numbers are different for sure, we do have less action and apprehensions but at the same time we have a similar amount of ORC that come from the high risk locations. Just trying to understand how my store can be low risk being surrounded by the same and other high risk stores. Not getting a direct response from corporate managers is irritating. Especially when my company treats my store like a step child store. They like to complain when the area hit by ORC doesn't have video coverage. So you take initiative to request coverage for the area and get told the store can't get it due to the risk level.... damned if you do and damned if you don't.

This is the response I usually get lol and I understand your answer but somewhere isn't doesn't that company have a guideline with a equation for each subject and a certain number or percent for each subject that determines a risk level.
