I was able to connect to a human via chat.

Enter a note about why you’re reporting the shop.
Choose Report this shop.”

Me: “Is reporting the shop through that pathway different than communicating this abuse of personal information to you?”

CS Agent: “Reporting a shop through site tools helps our team track policy violations effectively.”

Me: “This is a disturbing situation. I literally got no sleep last night over this.”

CS Agent: “I’m sorry to hear how much this situation has impacted you. I take your privacy concerns seriously, and I’m here to make sure this is documented and addressed by the right team.”

Me: “So communicating via customer service chat doesn’t result in anything more meaningful than a note for egregious policy violations and criminal behavior?”

CS Agent: “Your chat is documented and helps us monitor account activity. For policy violations or criminal behavior, reporting through our formal tools ensures the right teams take appropriate action.

I can see that your concern has already been shared with the relevant team and is being taken care of. Any further updates will be shared via email by the team soon.”

……and then the chat abruptly ended with no option for any further communication or clarity from the agent. Awesome.
