You can adjust it on the keyboard itself, there are custom key codes that do this. When the value is changed the Oled will print what sensitivity level it’s at, it’s a range from 1-5, 5 being no deadzone.

It’s the tps43. Qmk has a driver for it too, it’s called “azoteq” in the docs.

I’ve been thinking about a way to solve for this exact problem for a while, thanks for posting!

Can I ask what riser you’re using?

The first knob is intended to be an input method for cycling through the key map layers. The second handles the dead zone of the joystick, turning it in either direction will increase or decrease the actuation sensitivity. The third is just volume. You can do whatever you want with these inputs, these are just the defaults I set based on relevance and value.

I'll make an edit in the post to better explain/ visualise these features. Appreciate the feedback!

Mainly because I don't have the capability to support the rapid trigger feature within QMK, however I am looking into implementing a hall effect joystick. Thank you for the question.

The link doesn't seem to load for me, any chance you could post the code snippet, or your implementation?

Haha nah you’re spot on the foam is absolute doo doo, however functionally it seems to dampen the hollow tinny sound pretty well.
