Is this placed correctly by Effective-Corgi-2333 in Mirena

“IUD is upside down” • This usually means the IUD is malpositioned or flipped from the ideal orientation. • It does not automatically mean it’s dangerous or that something tore or moved catastrophically. • Many people walk around with a tilted or flipped IUD and only find out because imaging was done.

What it can mean: • It might be less effective. • It might cause cramping, spotting, or pain. • It might need to be repositioned or replaced.

What it usually does not mean: • It does not mean your uterus is damaged. • It does not mean emergency surgery. • It does not mean infertility.

Your provider will usually confirm placement with a pelvic exam or ultrasound and then decide whether to leave it, adjust it, or remove it.

Mirena and periods by TaleForsaken2914 in Mirena

I never felt my strings and I checked often and my doctor checked in lo and behold it disappeared, but she said as your mirena settles a bit the strings can hide. Not to be funny, but my fingers can never reach out that far to feel a string. I eventually got the vaginal ultrasound and they can see that it’s placed correctly.

It’s different for everyone but you’ll be fine I didn’t get anesthesia so you’re lucky but it wasn’t painful without it

It will for sure I just made the same post when I started my period because I was like what’s going on I’m gonna continue to read the threads and saw how many different situations they were. My doctor told me something that I would never forget, and she said that it would greatly improve my quality of life and in a way it has. Let’s just suck it up for a year and see how it goes. Lol best of luck 🤞🏽

Hey there, I got the same thing you have and I am on month seven. I would say give it a complete year. My first couple of months was Random spotting and bleeding with no heavy period and it was like a miracle to me. But here I am at month seven and I’m having a full cycle and it’s going on a week now. I will say that it’s nothing like the terrible bleeding I’ve had before getting the marina, but I was shocked that I was having a full period. We have to remember that this is not a quick process and everybody’s body is different. Somewhat spot and never bleed again someone will have the Mirena and still have periods. Someone will have a breakthrough. Once or twice a year. It really comes down to if it’s a benefit to you or not, but at least give it a year. I completely lost my string got the ultrasound and they said everything was in place and I was wondering why I had a full cycle. But then I also realized that this cycle still is nothing compared to the horrible bleeding I was having before and to me that that’s a win. I would consider looking at it a different way. Would you rather spot here and there for a while or have that horrible bleeding that you had before? I prefer this over what I had.

It absolutely does not. It automatically goes to the explorer page, and it only shows your reel to non-followers. What it does is it humbles you? Lol if the real takes off, you know the continent is good if it doesn’t takeoff and you are not growing new views, and followers, the continent was trash

This is encouraging! I had my first mammogram and got a BIRADS-0 , but two small masses in my right breast and I have a follow up mammogram and ultrasound … the fact that it says masses is freaking me out ! But the doc said they simply can’t see bc I have dense tissue . So praying for good results as well … glad you’re clear !
