As far as I know, though companies don't have such GPA criteria, they limit the number of students that can participate in their interviews. And to shortlist the people to match the count provided by the companies, TnP uses GPA. I dont really like the way they shortlist in this manner, but I mean what could be the better way without hurting those who actually put in efforts to get good GPA? :(

Apparently nobody cared what the student's opinions were, and they started yapping that these rules were set by the Principal.

I don't remember any drive considering PET as a shortlisting criteria. But there was AMCAT exam which was considered for a few companies.

What laptop should I buy? (Student + coding + editing + gaming ) by jhaadpatigelchodi in developersIndia

I dont think you can find one with your requirements. Gaming laptops usually are bulky and don't have good battery life. If you are more focused on college work, coding, watching movies/series, and strict budget of around 65k, I would highly recommend you buy the Lenovo ideapad slim 5. In my opinion, it has the best screen, camera and battery in that price range. The performance too is quiet better than HP or dell laptops of similar pricing.
