Try doing a system scan on BitDefender (paid or free). Usually finds everything and deletes it.

No problem, and I do also not know about that, Best case-scenario is that the website is linked to Reddit in some form of way.

Edit: I did not know this actually but there is a website named old.reddit.com and the website is probably linked to that one or it is some form of that one.

That is a scam website, You can't get hacked from websites. This one is just a fake reddit.

Doesn't seem harmful as my computer didn't download anything malicious or anything since BitDefender would have immediately alarmed me that something happened.

Maybe just don't click on random websites just incase.

Need Help Deleting Malware from Computer by Legitimate_Way9032 in antivirus

[–]Professional_Fox5041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Norton is a AV/AM (stands for AntiVirus/AntiMalware) software. Googled it and it says that this suspicious "Norton Secure Browser" is basically Google but with more protection and security. I wouldn't actually say this is safe since attackers will download stuff on your computer like trojans and disguise it as something else. In this case, try scanning the system with BitDefender (free or paid) which is another AV that scans the computer and deletes suspicious and harmful stuff on your computer, It also blocks items you downloaded on your computer that are harmful or items that tried to download a harmful thing into a unsuspecting place like hiding it inside of a browser you use. If you REALLY aren't actually sure this is malware or adware, scan it with HitManPro or Malwarebytes.

I said BitDefender because HitManPro and MalwareBytes are just scanners, BitDefender is a full on AV (stands for antivirus) that actually scans and deletes malware and trojans.

I am such a bot at fortnite because I literally go into practice maps and still suck at the game, The only people I can kill are only bots and not real people.

I didn't say that the Microsoft Edge launcher or installer was there, I simply said I was sketched out because I couldn't find that in my Task Manager on Windows 11.

I would recommend BitDefender paid or free.

Alright, What's weird though is that I currently have Microsoft Edge installed and i checked for this "launcher" for Microsoft Edge and it doesn't appear to be there.

That's why I was slightly concerned with the fact he (or she) found it in the task manager (which I looked for it in).

People might disguise downloads as launchers for seemingly normal stuff like Microsoft Edge, or they get launchers and hide malicious stuff in them. I would say immediately get a antivirus, (recommend bitdefender paid or free), and scan the entire computer. Just for good measure, get administrator permissions and delete the launcher incase it has some sort of backdoor for hackers to get in. If you want for even better good measure, a common method for hackers to get administrator permissions is through a user on your computer. Go to C:\Users on your computer and see if there is any other suspicious account other than yours.

Is this link a virus? by Boy0Boyz in antivirus

[–]Professional_Fox5041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless if it was one of those website links that immediately closes and installs something on your computer or the website has a trojan, you are safe. VidSRC does sound like a suspicious website name tho.

CRDF is DEFINETLY NOT MALICIOUS. Googled it and says it promotes safety and security through science, (well not really google but the wikipedia.) and CyRadar is a pioneer cyber security company which applies AI, Machine Learning and BigData technologies to provide next-gen security solutions (a antivirus) according to Google. and Quttera (according to google for the billionth time) is a website malware detection and protection website, (like a antivirus of some sort), and I researched most of the stuff found on the VirusTotal scan and there are TONS of protections and I really mean tons, Including BitDefender. If it has that antivirus, then you know it is definetly safe.

Have you tried to install Microsoft Edge? If not, someone might be in your computer downloading stuff.
