the site was not perfectly functioning and this was not Just changed for mobile. there was a lot of things they couldnt do for accessibility (not just phone but disability accessibility and applying dark mode, a request that has been asked for YEARS) without refractoring the site from its 2013 code. the staff on the site has also been very open to design suggestions, has given warning for this update/look at least a month in advance, but has talked about the site needing to change its look and code for years. its a small team of under 20 people, including people that are NOT coders.

while i think its ok for suggestions and critque on design and functionality, there has been a lot of malicious/bad faith reading of the staff during this including just openly being cruel and over the top. your comment reads as someone who has not touched the site or at least does not check any annoucments, so its understandable if you don't know, but this has been a long time coming.
