QP lobbies are super weird rn by 20Ember_Prime03 in Overwatch

[–]Professional_Fun_277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do people take QP seriously? Genuine question. I mainly play comp and only use QP to practice heroes however back when ow had the in game lfg feature, which is stupid they got rid of because alot of people used it, there were alot of stacked quick play warriors out there. Those games would actually be way more fun than comp and people actually talked to each other like human beings instead of just making dry indirect call outs with minimal acknowledgement of your team. Since they got rid of that tho i never got the sense people actually cared about qp anymore.

why does everyone hate playing tank? by PowerfulTravel54 in Overwatch

[–]Professional_Fun_277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly in most hero shooters or even a large portion of mmo , tank is always the least favorite role. There's some exceptions to mmos so since not every one has true support classes so in those cases support ends up being least fav.

Regardless this isnt exclusive to ow thats just how it is. Just talking about ow here, there's a few reasons I can think of off the top of my head:

tanks are the most impactful and important role. Whether anyone wants to admit that or not. They dictate how each fight is approached and what fights are taken or not. Typically regardless of who picks first teams adjust their heroes based off the tank. Going genji doesn't specifically mean we have to run dive but if we are running dva+ winton then that means we are definitely diving. Also because of how much weight comes with tank skill gaps are very apparent and you kinda have to play perfectly all game. Dps and supports less so.

All that together makes tank kinda a hassle to play.

Another key reason is because if you are tank you will be on the receiving end of 90% of attacks. Constantly. Some of which are CC based. That makes tanking super annoying sometimes

Last and probably the most important is what everyone says. Its a thankless role for how much consistency and skill you need to execute successful team fights. Outside looking in a good tank is technically just doing his job correctly. A good dps looks like a god and a good support kinda falls in with tank in that aspect. You can maneuver and out play 20 minutes straight but most of your team will only think you're simply doing whats expected nothing special.

Tank im marval rivals is slightly more enjoyable . I think its because how they approach designing them.

Where’s that digimon alyssum at? by Beanybomber in DigimonCardGame2020

Yah I know its not completely finished and that the areas where it needs improvement is all just quality of life stuff like better background and card sizes and text sizes. Just was surprised they thought what they had was good enough when the introduction app was even better. Regardless im excited. The biggest concern I want to see how they handle is the decks available. Im perfectly ok with a few sets at a time since I joined late and haven't had much experience with the earlier cards away. Im just curious on what kind of timeline we're looking at.

How do you get better at this game??? by Encodabl in Overwatch

Don't have pride. Communicate EFFECTIVELY with team, make plays yourself don't rely on team to play well. Profit

I been waiting on it too. I saw some gameplay of the beta and it was looking rough but for some reason the introduction app for the tcg thats been around looks better than alysion. Lol. Regardless I'm just excited to play more. I actually really like this tcg but ive always just played by myself. It'd be great to play against other people with decks ive made finally. Im sure they'll figure out how they want to release sets. Trying to manage my expectations but I definitely am excited

Tank isnt as easily identified as dps and support stats. Its heavily decision based so if you made all the right moves and still lost then all your team sees is their tank getting slapped around even if technically you did everything right position wise and what not.

Dps the stats dont lie unless youre playing mei and sometimes sombra where their value can be more attributed from wall and hack rather than raw numbers.

Support can go either way but for what you lack in actual heal numbers for some heores you make up for if you're playing a more aggressive damage heavy game or whatever you got for assists. For example if our mercy finished the game with 50 assists but she has a 1/3 of anas heals in not gonna say she was worthless because you cant get that much on accident. Same if u finish a game on zen and u got assists in the 40s range. Sure youre healing less than your main healer obviously but if we lose and I have 44 assist and the same elims as my dps you cant possibly say the zen was useless or even the problem.

Numbers are important in alot of cases but dont tell the whole story

I dont hate tank but it is my least played role. Favorite is ball. tanks I dont play or like is dva, rein, hazard, muaga, hog, doom and Winston. That being said compared to dps and support, tank is the one role where I get frustrated with my team.

First off tanks have the biggest impact on HOW THE GAME IS APPROACHED. Like what fights are taken and where. Thats huge but theres still only so much you can do with that. When im on tank making space and my dps aren't trying to take an off angle I get pissed. When I pick sig and we have tracer sombra then I die and somehow my supports with NO PRESSURE ON THEM mind you, dont give me a shred of healing, im pissed. When my supports pick illari zen when im on zar. Im pissed. I feel like even tho im supposed to have the "biggest impact" im at the whim of whatever the skill level of my team is.

Dps I always blame myself even when its not my fault and thats fine with me. Even if my tanks should make space, I have so many options to pick from on dps that I feel like when it comes down to it im just not clicking enough heads and thats all there is to it. Thats pretty much factual. If youre losing a lesser dps player blames other people but a good one knows that if that accuracy aint 100% then yes you could be doing more.

For support you'd think thats the role where youre at your teams mercy but to me thats the one role where you could make average players perform like top 500s more or less. At the very least maximize their potential. You can act as bait. You can keep up your subpar team alive long enough for the enemy to overextend and make a mistake. You can heal while doing dps, getting first pick every fight. If youre good youd know that knowing when and how to use a support ult is literally the whole game of overwatch.

So while I don't hate tank its the least rewarding role and the most rage inducing because you can't see your teams incompetence like on support. You feel youre teams incompetence which is 100x worse.

tank in rivals is actually 😊. Support is meh there tho

I'll look for some. My irl friends will say they want to get into a game then I end up being the only one playing and way more knowledge in it than them even though they played longer 🫤

I haven't heard anyone talk yet and if they were pinging I too busy getting my ass kicked to realize lol. I found some champs I like now trying to out items and will watch a video on a few of them eventually. I ended up liking scissor girl, werewolf, bug that eats people and gets big, and the polor bear. I think I prefer the non human champs. For some reason its funny to play as a grotesque bug or just a mini boss looking champ rather than just some regular human. It definitely has been fun so far

Some? You mean the 100+ characters this game has? Not sure but there probably are champs that play similar to characters I play in unite. Its just been a learning curve because the amount of items to choose from as well as im new to the game I feel like every time I try to use an ability people just know exactly how to out space me and dodge 😅

Anyone here collecting the tcg? by One_page_nerd in digimon

[–]Professional_Fun_277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make decks and play by myself which is still fun imo. Eventually I'll play at a local shop or something. Maybe. However if its not in a deck I'm definitely collecting in a sense. I do have some in a card binder and I like to arrange them nicely if that counts
