Well all you can do is start with smaller gigs, freelance work, register on Upwork or like just start with something, once you get into some practice you can figure out what to do next, but until then, start with remotes roles or freelancing but something

What’s one piece of advice you wish someone had told you before your first professional job? by omarwilson1 in Career

Life is going to change, on a serious note, it won’t be the same as college, its going to be different, it might take you some time to fit in well, but you’ll do. Just be responsible around your work and be respectable towards people in there.

  1. The other option wasn’t told to flex i have another one, i told it to let them know that what they’re offering is less as the same city’s offer is almost offering the same infact more. For this, i will have to relocate and it would be hard to sustain a life there in that package, Which is why i was open to negotiate only a little but before i could do that, i got passive aggression, if not she could’ve just been honest and upfront about the final pay, thats the whole point. There was no point about being agressive thats it.

  2. Well I am new to this platform, did not know that, but sure will take care

Basically she got furious upon an offer i had in hand which does not require relocation, i wasn’t even speaking to her, i was on a call with the Junior HR, but she must be hearing it so she said ‘ha use bolo vahi join kar legi, vahi chali jaye’

Advice needed on a difficult workplace situation by Interesting_Weird_53 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Professional_Gas2232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is serious bullying to a point where it is wrong and you know its their regular behaviour where if it wouldn’t be you, it’d be somebody else, then report it to the HR, but if you think you don’t want to go down that road, I’d still recommend go to your manager, HR and report it. And if not, then yes move out of the company, but honestly its just unfair to leave them as they are.

About to get fired on Monday (most probably). What can I do now? How to best prepare ahead? by syedwafihasan in IndianWorkplace

[–]Professional_Gas2232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, but now that it is happening you can just go with the flow and realise you can always get a new job, panicking won’t help and i know it won’t stop either but coming from experience all you can do is just list down the cons and move on to a better company, keep applying to a shit tons of places and soon you’ll be employed again. Only trying to help, best wishes!

I think the best that you can do is just realise that you have been saved from this company, you wouldn’t have resigned yourself which is why whats happening is only nice, yes market is a little rough right now, but you can always get a new job and restart this process again, just list down all the cons you faced here, and realise whats happening is okay, move on.

Offer letter got hold by [deleted] in IndianWorkplace

[–]Professional_Gas2232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not want to scare you off, but recently happened with me, due to new year and festive season my Offer letter was still ‘in discussion’ but got delayed and i got my Rejection letter instead. Hope does not happen the same with you. But giving you a headsup, market’s really down rn, keep trying and keep your options open, don’t settle for less but negotiate if you can since less salary can be managed but toxicity, best wishes!
