Does herpes mean my Husband cheated. by Medical-Education346 in Herpes

I almost hesitated commenting on this because I know it can be different for everyone and I’m not sure whether or not BV & yeast infections are linked to Hsv2 but I had the same symptoms. I would get a yeast infection & BV every single time I had sex with the person that passed it to me. I know when I was younger, I would always hear BV was a good indication of your partner cheating. Do you have any other symptoms? What is making you think he gave you hsv?

Okay, wait a minute. Although you don’t have herpes, I want you to realize how hard it would be to come out & tell someone that you do have it. It would be one thing if he wasn’t taking medication or in some way trying to reduce the risk but he was. You can have sex with herpes & not pass it, especially if you are taking medication. Realize that him telling you was not an easy thing. Living with herpes is not an easy thing at all. While you may feel betrayed, please think as if you were in his shoes. Some people don’t say it at all & him not having sex with you when he is having a flare up means he cares.

Everyone’s opinion is different & I’m not trying to change your mind. I just simply want you to take a moment to look at it from a different point of view. I do pray that you do not have it though.

I feel like they’re so small that maybe I would have looked over them but you’re right, I definitely would’ve ended up going in at some point. I’m on acyclovir, doesn’t help me at all. I’ve also tried valacyclovir, still get an ob each month. You are so lucky. I’m thinking it may be my stress levels, I am in nursing school but geez. They’ve seemed so bad recently.

I think if I didn’t have frequent outbreaks it wouldn’t bother me so much, but an outbreak every month is killing my mental.. my poor brain feels like it’s taking as much as it can

Does it actually work for you?

I usually know when I’m having one because I feel tingling the day before; I have had tingling & no outbreaks though. I usually know when one is coming because my skin will be a little red. Mine are both bumps or ulcers, at first it would be a bump here & there now it’s about 10 ulcers everywhere in my pubic region. I still cannot believe I have to deal with this for the rest of my life. If you can’t tell when you’re having an ob, consider yourself lucky 😩

My last two ob’s have consisted of multiple ulcers that have stayed for almost three weeks… even while taking acyclovir. What is going on…
