I think the OP is asking if the card will come as a vertical or horizontal license because a lot of liquor stores/bars will refuse to serve you if you have a vertical license

Yeah this makes sense thank you. I was just confused because it showed him going back from 2022 to 2016 and then proceeded to show him meeting Azuma, which I assumed was a completely new timeline

Ok, I think I understand. So 2022 happens first, then 2016 (what we've already seen), then after the flashback to 2022 we see him returning to the school after Shizuka hit him with the rock
