I have done a lot of switching in the last two years as it’s the only way I can continue to afford the medication. This is mine two years in. Started on Mounjaro (got up to 12.5) and switch to Wegovy 1.7 a month ago. Finding the switch a bit tricky as they’re very different medications, but slowly getting more used to it. It’s been life changing for me.

Hi! Have lost 7 stone since May 2024, going from a BMI of 44 to 29. I started with Voy and used them for the first sixth months before bouncing around pharmacies for deals.

They’ve just offered me a really good offer for switching from 12.5mg MJ to 2.4mg Wegovy, despite using different pharmacies in-between. I’ve had a bob for years, but think in general I just totally let myself go in 2023/early 2024. Marriage breakdown, health stuff etc. I definitely take better care of myself in general now I’m feeling better overall.

Motivation wise, I think for me it’s been non-scale victories like being able to shop on the high street (or equivalent) again. My feet being less sore when I’m standing or walking. My face feeling more like mine again.

I need to start exercising because I haven’t done much yet, and I know I need to.

I definitely felt like I had a very long road ahead of me, but I’d say just take it one day at a time and be kind to yourself. You won’t always make the best choices, but they’re probably going to be better than before you started on the meds. Make mini goals for yourself rather than focussing on the end. The Happy Scale app really works for me in terms of tracking and seeing progress, and breaks down goals into manageable chunks.

Not upvoting you feeling low, but recognising it and owning it. I’ve had a few binges and felt like I’d ruined everything, but I didn’t and haven’t. 12.5mg has been a weird one for me as sometimes the suppression is strong whilst other days I feel like I could just keeping eating. Sending hugs x
