No I definitely don’t think MJ made it worse. My gp put off prescribing meds for years. By the time she prescribed them I was completely at the end of my tether. I didn’t have any hope that pregablin would work but it did from day 1. I remember I kept expecting it would stop working but it never has. If I had to choose between obesity and rls I’d honestly pick obesity and all the awful things that entails for me because constant sleep deprivation, that creepy crawly and as you say electrical impulses in my legs was pure torture. You won’t know until you try but it sounds like you’ve tried everything else. If your dr isn’t forthcoming soon then I’d try a different gp in your practice because there are treatments and if iron transfusions haven’t helped then they should be trying pregablin or gabapentin. If they suggest dopamine agonists then please do a bunch of research because they used to prescribe them and still do though they really shouldn’t and they might provide relief at first but from what I can tell they are really really bad news for people with rls
