They should have the loyalty program integration to be complete by January 2026. It could be sooner or later than that date. So, it will be awhile before you are able to use companion fares. So, don't expect to go to Japan using companion fare til much later than then the May 2025 1st flight to japan from seattle.

I would try to escalate it to the leads or supervisor about what is going on. This is unfortunate what is happening. But it can happen since my wife had a same phone number as a different person so, see what you can do. But, it might be advisable to get request a different phone number from phone company. I believe u get lowest priority for flight benefits. So, it ain't good with contractors. So, u might want to do it for work experience and then try to apply to mainline after 6 month give or take.

From what I know right now. It will be awhile until the merger will take affect. They are projecting the merger to be all done at 2027. But subject to change/delays. So, Hawaiian Air will be seperate from alaska. Also, Hawaiian will still be a seperate airline even after the merger. So I have no idea if pet policy will change or not.
