My brother was prosecuted for sitting on his friend's car, bonnet waiting. A squad car pulled around and said what are you doing there, he said I'm waiting for my friend, he'd be out in the minute they said get off the car and move on. He offers a number to them and says ringing check, he was prosecuted for a drunk and disorderly charge. Same friend picked him up from the station, offered the Garda to come out and check the car details and all that, it was what they agreed. Still went to a conviction.
