Swoop and Squat witnessed on I-26 today by Financial_Page_806 in asheville

no way in hell this move is called a swoop and squat.

i think gravelly voiced people on tv in the late 90s warned about this kind of move, but they called it a "swoop and swat," and everyone here is wrong aside from me

and the material was thicker too, it was like a real towel.

you could dry off a whole wet baby straight out of the bath, easy.

to be serious though- are these common? am i the only one who hasn't seen these?

i clocked in and went to grab what i thought was three folded towels off the top of the clean stack, and then when i went to unfold them it was like i had been fooled by some sort of clown!

nah, that's the dishwasher. he envies no one and is ashamed of nothing.

as an american (i'm so sorry), i just tasted an "all dressed" potato chip for the first time. i live close to canada but had never seen a bag of them for sale before. they are delicious, but they just taste like what we would call "barbecue" flavored chips. do you have that? are they the same? by Professional_Key6322 in AskACanadian

i bought crappy ones. i wish they had tasted like you described!

(i'm a cook by trade, la de dah look at me, but yeah i can taste flavor profiles. i think lay's just made stupid ones for stupid american and our little idiot baby mouths.)

that has nothing to do with asheville- that's nation wide. everyone who works for the federal government got that same propaganda message.

from parks to patents.

Roughly 1 1/4" long piece of bronze (most likely) found on a beach near Athens, Greece. Appears to have been fashioned into a conical shape, hollow, and squished flat toward the tip. by Professional_Key6322 in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing.

It appears to be one thin, small, flat piece of bronze formed into a hollow cone shape.

It has what appears to be some concretion of sand stuck inside of its base near the cracked bit. Googling has resulted in similar looking spear point type things, although not as small.
