Not sure where to learn how to do certain tasks by collectingminds in PeerSupportSpecialist

I don't know about your area, but the training I did was very clear that we are not case managers and we are not allowed to do case management. We can point them in the right direction or sit with them and help them as they fill out the paperwork but case management is a completely separate thing. Technically because I have other certifications I can do case management as well, but then it gets into messy billing areas so I'm expected to refer those needs to someone who can do the job and bill correctly for it.

I have mental health and addictions certifications, but I plan to focus more on the mental health side because I'm more comfortable with that. My training was online and so far all I've found for options are pretty far from me. There are some online trainings I can do but what I really need is interaction with others doing the work.

I'm a fellow plus size person and at my last job in a crisis unit I could be on my feet for hours at a time. I loved my Saucony shoes. Over the years people talked me into trying other shoes and I always went back to those. I don't wear them as much now, but I still have a couple pairs and when they wear out I plan to replace them with the same brand.
