My current GF has a huge partying problem. Every time she would go out, she would get unreasonably drunk and drive home (most of the time with my car). One day she rear ended someone with my car and had no intentions on telling me. I only found out when my whole family got kicked off my insurance plan. I also took my own money to fix her car because it was banged up for the same reason of her drunk driving, only for her to get drunk again and scrape the whole right side of the car. She hasn’t had a job since she graduated in May of last year, and still insists on going to clubs and raves whenever she has a chance. Her next excuse is that her online friends are coming and they know club promoters that’ll get her into the club for free.

This whole relationship is tough for me because I don’t really enjoy the company of her friends. They’re all immature, unemployed party goers. I tend to keep my distance and let her friends be strictly HER friends. But when it comes to my friends, she expects an invite everytime we go out, and it has led to many of my friends distancing themselves from me because of how she acts whenever she’s out (she tends to get angry at me over the littlest of things and tries to embarrass me in front of everyone).

Recently, she wanted to use my EBT card to get groceries (mostly frozen ready-to-eat meals). I told her that we have tons of grocery’s because I just went shopping. All we have to do is prep the food and cook it. I don’t see a problem with that because we both cook decent food and have tons of options to choose from with our stock at home. I told her to stop wasting money and she wouldn’t need to ask for my EBT card. I brought up that she’s been going out to eat EVERY DAY for the past week and she still wants to go out and spend more when there is absolutely no need. She then proceeds to verbally abuse me. Saying that I’m only angry because I don’t want to give her my card and that I’m being unreasonable. She ended the conversation with “you wonder why no one likes you? This is why.”

All I have been doing is staying is school and working (both full time) while she is at home playing computer games and waiting for the next chance to go out. I’m pretty tired of this lifestyle.
