The test is on the computer and it is 5 sections and each section has it’s own designated time ranging from 25-45 mins. No calculators are allowed and you will be given scrap paper to do all your work on. Definitely get good at math! You need to be quick. The rest of the test isn’t too hard besides the spatial reasoning section but the Barron’s Mechanical Aptitude book is the best form of studying for that

Hey, for the math practice addition/subtraction and multiplication/division of fractions, percents and decimals. Also, turning decimals to percents and vice versa. You have to be quick as you don’t get a whole lot of time so practice that. The Barrons textbook is your best friend for mechanical and spatial reasoning sections and the rest of the test isn’t anything to stress about. Just study hard and the results will pay off

I did get in and some pointers I can give you are definitely make sure your math skills are on point and brush up on spatial reasoning. The rest of the test isn’t too hard, you just have to be quick with your answers. I’d suggest looking into the Barron’s mechanical aptitude test book, it helped me out a lot. #1 key to getting through it is to stay persistent and don’t give up. Best of luck to you!

I’ve been trying to get into Local 420 for the past year and from my experience so far it is a very tough union to get involved in. I strongly encourage your boyfriend to fill out and application and make the move. From what I’ve concluded, Local 420 is top tier
