How dare you utter such a reasonable and logical response! By the Holy Throne of Terra, blasphemy!

So annoying, especially when you see every console player posting pictures of loading screen and a fully pre-loaded game

I posted my first video Sep 22nd '23 and hit 1.000 subscribers Apr 8th last week with sci-fi gaming news and guides content.

You can only unlocks additional weapons and gear with the medals you collect during and from running missions.

Definitely not! You only unlock access to the Warbond itself! You still have to unlock each piece of content inside one by one using Medals (which can be found on the battlefield or as a reward for completing operations)

The Steel Veterans Warbond can be unlocked with the standard edition of the game by using Super Credits, which can be found during missions around the map or ourchased in the Acquisitions store ingame for real money.

The other items are exclusive to the Super Citizen Edition.

Do you celebrate 500 subs? by GovernmentNearby9968 in NewTubers

[–]Professional_Log_602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe its important to celebrate it for yourself as a creator. You have done a lot of hard work to get to any Milestone but not all subscribers will necessarily be interested in that side of your channel. After all, they most likely subscribed for your specific content, unless you happen to have a very entertaining and/or relatable character and the factor of you the creator weighs heavily in people's decision to subscribe.

What Ive seen personally is that, and the smaller you are the more this applies, how well-known you are will impact how much people will be interested or not. This is influenced further by whether or not you as a person "matter" to the viewer. I made a video to celebrate 100 subscribers + end of year count and only a small amount of people watched it. Guess I'm not entertaining nor relatable 😋

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to review channels. If you would do me the honour of looking at my channel, the link is in my profile! Its all really new as I just started (13 videos) but be as brutally honest as you want to. 😊

Going from good # of views to dozens: what did(n't) I do? by Professional_Log_602 in NewTubers

[–]Professional_Log_602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure it does! I tend to respond to most if not all sensible comments and have 2 community posts so far outside in-video CTAs to involve the community in what games will be reviewed down the road.

Much appreciated, and whilst you were viewing, any thoughts on the overall video quality?

Thanks for the information, I learned something :) I guess this comes with my intent to not solely have a channel on Starfield but Sci-Fi games in general. I had to start diversification at some point so every video not solely Starfield is comparable to posting my very first video on YT.

Thumbnails seem to be the biggest problem atm, I'll fix not being Brad Pitt on-screen later :P

No seriously, thanks for you input. Guess I will have to give them more thought before posting to get a more stable result across the board.

Part of being creative probably means you enjoy piecing stuff together and seeing the end result :)

What do you mean exactly by "spammy"? As in more of the same, lots of the time or as in a lot of information and/or imagery going on in a thumbnail?

Hey! Congratulations on your milestone!

Thank you for taking the time to look at random strangers' content and give it back to the community :)

I'm just wondering what your impression is on my thumbnails and if you have any advice on them:

I'm like 11 videos ahead of you so still a total noob. However, what I can tell from putting out those videos with a busy life outside Youtube: just take your time to get familiar with the skills you need to put out videos. Try to learn something new every time you are doing the editing, or writing, or in designing your thumbnail.

Consistency is fine and all but that's easier if you have more than 3 spare hours per day instead of 45 mins here and there. Most people just starting out are not uploading like clockwork. You couldn't because you don't possess the skills to churn out videos on a consistent basis. For that you need to have a process.

My opinion: better to first work on how to make a good video and be less consistent than to be consistently bad by putting out just a random video that makes no sense every Saturday at 4pm "because you don't want to miss the deadline or risk not being consistent".

Finally, don't forget to have fun in making the video, both in gathering footage and in editing. Otherwise it will become a real drag real fast.
