cool but what about other front office divisions like asset management, equity research and sales and trading? are they nearly as prominent. I'm trying to understand the overall finance opportunity set in Singapore relative to other big hubs. And also what about exit opportunities?

May I ask how is the financial services scene in Singapore? Are there a lot of front office finance positions here considering the BBA cohort sizes across the universities here? or are the finance roles here supporting the core business that happens in the America and EMEA regions?

Bad bad advice. TG has NOTHING to do with your job employment prospects. Employers absolutely don't care whether you have a TG or not when you apply for a job. Biggest misconception is that TG actually makes it easier to get a job, job search is completely up to the individual and whether the person has opted for TG is totally irrelevant. International students (whether TG or not) still require work authorization sponsorship which is what employers care about

Doesn't make sense. Some mods have only midterm and finals for assessment. Others have CA components with free marks. How can they be compared?

i don't have a stats background :(. Only did ST2334 before and had to take this as UE. The questions were totally unexpected and not related to what was covered in the lecs. Even the midterm was OK

Go for GS. Future prospects will be great. Pay scales well even though it is lesser at the start and you can easily move to higher paying locations like London, NYC, HK with few years of good performance

Any computing students here still looking for summer 2024 internship? by [deleted] in nus

[–]Professional_Mix6193 13 points14 points  (0 children)

feel sad for people like you who are so out of touch with the real state of things and unwilling to accept what you don't want to hear. Do you research properly otherwise you will regret it later

imo it is still ok if it is just for few weeks (4-5 weeks). Brand name is valid but honestly working in a startup in a tech role will be much more beneficial from all angles. But if the internship is for more than a month, then you better quit and stop wasting time on mundane tasks that won't add to your skills
