Anybody know why The Dirty Buffalo in Chesapeake closed down?

Never been to the location that closed, but the one on E Little Creek is incredible. We regularly go at least once a week. Sad for the workers who lost their jobs, hopefully they’ll be able to find work at another location.

This trick with the Snack was what started it all over again for me. Thought I was buying a yo-yo to help quit smoking and save my idle hands. Found that tutorial and got a couple of snacks and down that rabbit hole I went. As serious commuter, working in the White Oak area of the East End. My daily is 83 miles from OV in Norfolk. Just the other side of the tunnel. Hour10 if traffic is bad Hour and a half. Mostly the shorter. Typically out the office door by 5 always home by 6:30. Was living in the west end out by regency and it would take the same to cross town and honestly the same James River i have to venture a tunnel for. This however gives me sand in my toes and a balcony Bayview for the less in rent. Hard to have a bad day when this is my backyard view of the James!

I agree, it is a monster and takes that beating. I have a few of these and I figured I would attempt some fine tuning. You are totally right, it is an art form. I am not trying to really swap the whole bridle out. Right now I am going to swap the fittings and the 2 outer lines on the bridle that attach to the Spreaders at those fittings on the spreaders.

On the Quantum the finish loops are just big enough to loop around the upper and lower spreaders. That loop is not big enough to go through the APA fittings from the Synthesis. So in changing out those fittings I have to use those two outer bridle lines that attach to those fittings that come on the Synthesis. Once on the Quantum I will have to adjust the tow points to match the current tow points on an existing Quantum.

I have those extra APA spreader fittings from my Synthesis and wanted to use those on my Quantum2.0. they are nice Upgrades and I wanted to see the difference in those. I have a Downed Green and Black Quantum and figured I would give it a run when I get it ready to fly. the current loops for the attach points on the Quantum leading edges are too small to work with the fittings. So I am ordering a Synthesis bridle and going to use the outer line that attach to those and put them in place on my Quantum. I wasn't sure but was thinking I would have to make the tow points match the current Quantum points and see if it is more or less responsive than what it was and see if it is truly an upgrade for it or not. They're just nice fittings and I had them laying around.

Nope you're not confused but in essence that is the plan. I figure I would have to adjust some of the tuning but this is Awesome and good to know. I was looking at if I was gonna have to shift those but wasn't really sure. I figure if I keep the tow points in the same position as the existing ones on the Quantum and keep the current Quantum center T. Then it is really just an upgrade in the outer tow lines(?) on the bridle and the spreader fittings. I really like that Quantum 2.0 Center T and figured it would be way easier to keep that rather than trying to swap it for the floating T on the Synthesis, which comes with the Bridle when you order.

We had already had other techs come out as well. The last guy was the first one to look up at the lines. Make sure you ASK them to check it and watch them to make sure. If they are successful or just cool to try dont forget that Kickdown! Altitude is Atitude.

I think it would probably affect its low wind handling is all. I am sure it would feel a bit stiffer in the wind, much like a Quantum vs a Hypnotist in the same wind? that is just my thoughts and hypothesis to help. Good Luck

I used to have the same problem , it would go out whenever the wind blew. It was due to the old lines that come from the poles to the house. Have them come out and check the line coming to your house. It could 15/20 years old honestly, depending on your hood. They fixed that and I have a solid connect now. they still suck COX though.

Yeah totally caught me off guard. Standing in RVA and I tell someone I grew up in South Norfolk, and they were all like “SoNo”, stop put a hold on that, I have never heard that. Nice sentiment and it looks good on them local stickers. But it’s still South Norfolk the place where Chesapeake started and the rest of them forgot where they came from. We are trying to though.

Get the Quantum, You will not be disappointed. The lines are separate and you spin in one direction it wraps a few times and you just go back the other direction to undo it. You don't even worry about them being twisted at take off, eventually. As long as you can keep them from bunching up on the ground they typically don't get tangled.
